So Foxy has shown some progress. She is doing a lot better with the clear water and will now go into a pool and also a regulation pool. She goes in both using an exit ramp and just the normal height of a drop off in a normal backyard pool. However, I see what her problem is. She does not understand that she can JUMP out into the pool which will make it so much easier than just falling in. Until I find a way to get her to jump off the edge, there is no point in trying to get her to go off the dock because if she went off the dock the same way she goes into a pool, then it would just scare her. Any ideas or suggestions?

What your going to want to do is work some dry land training with her so she understands the concept of jumping up for the bumper. I usually will set my dog in a sit/stay and walk out about 10 feet in front of him/her and then send her for the toy, which is being held out away from me in my hand. At first I keep the toy eye level and as they are consistently jumping through grabbing the toy I raise it up about a 1/2 foot at a time. Once she's got this down you will move to the shoreline at a local pond, beach etc and work on the shoreline and then on to the dock.
Hope this helps - if not send me a pm and we can chat about getting her started.
