As an honest well intentioned suggestion, have you considered getting some training for your dog...and you? Obviously, you need more control over him before something critical happens. Please check into getting a trainer. It will do wonders for Maximus and for your ability to control him.

Also, I noticed he is not neutered. That, too, would probably help....or at least that's what I've always heard. Is there any reason you haven't had him neutered yet? Is he not old enough? Surely you aren't thinking about letting a dog with an aggressive temperment like that breed.

Anyway, just a couple of thoughts that I believe would help with your and Maximus' aggression problem. He's a beautiful dog and you obviously love him very much. Now, all you need to do is get him under control so you can fully enjoy him. :)

Now, please check your PMs.

I have known Maximus for about 4 years and he is not an aggresive dog as some seem to be saying. There was an in heat female in the area at the time and unlees you have an in tact male or in tact female you do not realize the things you have to deal with. I can tell you my dog Mogh was pissed Maximus got anywhere near his cage on Sunday.

Maximus has had a lot of training but he still has hormones and I was informed there was a female in heat in the area on Sunday and on Saturday. CnocolateDawg I understand you accused Maximus of causing problems on Saturday when I know he was in Orlando then and not at the Redfish cup on Saturday. Think hard about what you are accusing. This is one of the reasons I hate some of the people in dockdogs. This is my fun with my dogs and yes I am competitive but if my dog doesn't wim, Oh well, there is always the next event.

I never said anything about Saturday. I don't know where you got this from. I only saw him on Sunday.

I was only trying to offer some positive suggestions for her. If she doesn't need training to control her dog, then that's fine. I was only trying to help and keep it fun for everyone....just like you said. Because some of the fun was certainly taken out of it for the two dogs attacked (or whatever you want to call it) by Maximus.
