Just my opinion here Bill, but I am not to sure we earned that one fairly, several organizations have a time limit(Pepper usually pushes that limit) but he went way past it at this event. It was so bad that I asked if I could pass or pull him and was told I couldn't. He finally jumped.I sure don't know why he does that, I train with every distraction known to man.
Congrats to Stryker and our buddies Blain and Kita.

As a representive for SRS and a judge for SRS, Splash Dogs, Wonder Dogs, Ultimate Air Dogs and even Dock Dogs at one time. In the SRS rules there is no time limit stated on Super V for the dog to leave the dock and attempt to retreive the bumper. The rules do state, quote," after 6'4" or higher no passes will be allowed, after 6'2" has been reached. All dogs must attempt all heights regradless of remaining passes.
As a professional Judge I feel that anyone who makes it to the Crown Championship is a professional competitor and knows their dog better than anyone else. Therefore, I as a judge would never ever not allow a competitor to pull his dog from the dock while in competition if he requested to do so for whatever reason.
CASE IN POINT: Melissa & Striker missed the Super V record after one attempt when the rules state you get two attempts. Melissa as a professional competitor pulled her dog after that first attempt and the judge allowed it.

Hind sight 20/20 I am glad I was told I couldn't pull him, for the simple fact he jumped. He has never taken that long, there for I was thinking maybe the heat was bothering him or maybe he just wasn't feeling good. But after 20 attempts if I still can't get him going, are ya saying not to pull him?
