I do have to say after looking at the scores that have been posted so far.....

WAY TO GO URSULA!!!

Gunner....24'10".....WOW!! You should be very proud of your boy!! You did it the right way. He was injured and you have taken almost a year to get him back up to this performance level! Congrats for doing it right!!!

Then there is Aries! What's up with that!! Over 22'! Wasn't he the once you were trying to get in the water in Pittsburg a couple of weeks ago? Awesome!!

Also to Miss Tessa!!! Talking about a comeback story of the year! Maybe not having hair on her chin has made her more aerodynamic???

Wish'n we were there!!

Thanks guys on the Congrats...I was floored this afternoon to see Gunn take 1st in the Pro Finals It's been a long road but it looks like Gunn is back to his old self! Bri - Thank you again for handling him, I know it meant as much to you as it does to me.

I couldn't be prouder of Aries and Ryan. Tony told Brian at Pittsburg that this sport was addicting, two weeks later he's driving 8 hours to Wags and popping 22 footers! Long way from the plunging pup just last month :-)

There were a lot of great moments this weekend and though the competition was great, we all know Wags is about so much more, the kids.I want to thank all of the volunteers who helped make this event possible as well as all of our SD competitors, you all put so many smiles on those little faces.

What an accomplishment Urs! A very huge congratulations. You exhibited patience and love on Gunner's very long comeback. It certainly paid off! Congrats to Brian too (I think he is the new dog whisperer!)...all the dogs jump big for him!....say Brian want to give MickeyD a whirl?

Congratulations Urs!! That is a HUGE jump! Aires was incredible as well. :)

Your daughter as the announcer was adorable- she's a natural!

We had a great time.. and I actually prefer this venue to the one it was at last year - I'd love for it to be there again next year!

I have a bunch of pictures, and I'll get them uploaded and a link posted hopefully today. :)

Tessa might have done a little better if it had not been for OPERATOR ERROR, but thanks to Sarah and Brian for giving me such great -- and much needed -- advice on her sit stay and my throws! You guys are awesome.

And Brian, you can jump Tessa ANYTIME, okay?? :)

It was really fun sitting on "Lab Row" with Sadie, Dunkin, Phoebe, Chase, Jillie, Crash and the honorary labs Nevada and Cassie. I don't know what I would have done without Marty, Marilyn and Cindy, who helped me with everything over the weekend. You are all awesome! I'm lucky the Panera's is a little bit of a drive from my house . . . :)

Thanks everyone for a great weekend!

The chessie gang wishes to thank all the volunteers and competitors for putting up with all those darn chessies. If you can't get them out of the pool you know it is a chessie!

Congratualations to Shelby and Chuck for winning the open final - Shelby was adopted earlier this year. Chessie rescue had four adopted chessies in the open final and we are proud of each and every one of them and forever grateful to their owners for giving them a chance.

And, let's not forget Henry and Russell - entertaining as always. Second place is humbling but we could not have lost to a more deserving team. Although Russell is convinced that Brian smuggled in some kryptonite to spike Henry's water.

And, thank you Natural Balance for the gift bags and free goodies!

WOW what a weekend.

I have so many great memories from this event. It seems like every year it just gets better and better with new friends and old friends.

I want to thank So many people. Who are sometimes forgotten in the highs of the event.

Mark Stuart ~ making sure that all the wish kids have fun with our pups. Best part of the event is seeing all the smiles on everyone’s face.

Tony and Crew you all know who you are! Nothing like building a ramp at 10 pm in the cold on a Thursday night…lol Thank you for another great event.

Now for the Congratulations in no special order…

Aries and Ryan ~ WOW what a change in a month. He is amazing to watch. Hey Alley I will trade you Bree for Aries. What do you say….

Maximus and Brian ~ it is about fricken time! Welcome to the 6ft club! I know that he will be climbing higher and higher now that you know my secrets…. Wink-wink Oh Candice when will those awesome SV pictures be posted?

Foxy and Lilly 1st time jumpers! Woohoo Staffies rule! We had 6 Staffies in lap dog finals and 1 1/2 staffie too. This weekend we had a total of 7 Staffordshire bull terriers jumping into the pool. Let me tell yea Lap dog finals sounded like a flyball tourney…hehehe

Henry and Russell and all the CRAZY BROWN CLOWNS ~ you guys ROCK. Henry just makes it look easy get that dog an EASY button. Oh yeah Vote for Standing Stanley

Russell and Barbra, Special thanks for all the HELP UP with Tim. By far CBR rescue first.

Tim with Natural Balance Thanks for the Shirt after my late afternoon swim….

Sadie and Cindy ~ you are the best. I miss seeing you guys on the dock. (Go big) Keep all of us up to date with Sadie. She is our special drug dog! Standing with me watching Maximus jump both of us crying with goose bumps…

Chase and Brooke ~ I am glad that Chase only had a bit of the chicken dance going on. I always fear the worst when you ask me to look at him! Stop scaring me!

Splashdogs family has had a few dogs on the bench this weekend and a few that have returned to the game. It is always sad to see our friends sitting on the side lines but still there to help other. WELL I guess we are family!

Tessa and Linda ~ Tessa is another dog that is tearing up the dock after having to take some time off.

But one dog has made a big come back for the bench. My team mate with DOUBLE DOG DARE! WELCOME BACK GUNN GUNN…

Marty, Marilyn ~ Thank you so much for the pictures. Marilyn you get the crazy toy award for sure. It was great seeing Dunkin jump with the different make a wish kids he was so happy.

Tractor and Lisa ~ we will see you in a few weeks. Just remember 15’ lol good luck and have a safe drive. Congrats on 6 8 it is time to get that boy vertical.

Nevada and Shari ~ Nevada brought so many smiles to so many children’s faces this weekend. I think that is her kind of PR work….

Now I know I am forgetting someone.. So if you see it has been edited that means I remembered…

I have a huge brag from my house….. Alley Cat has retired her life jacket and is jumping off the dock with little to no assistance from me! Way to go my lil CAT. She now has a P.B of 6’

Vince and Rona ~ I have no words... but good words. Vince thanks for the swim. It was fun... It did not work out the way I thought or Rona thought it would...but it was still fun!

I just want to say thank you ALL for your concern and well wishes for Sadie. She is my special baby. I think everyone knows how much she means to me. I will keep all of you informed on the outcome of her back.

It was hard and a little depressing at times watching everyone jumping their dogs and wishing Sadie could be up there, but just letting her swim a few laps here and there still brought a smile to her face and mine.

Being there with all of our Splash family is the best part of it. You guys are all great....Then watching the kids...oh those kids so brave and wonderful...they are all just so awesome.

Why do we always seem to cry at these events.....I found myself crying with Brendie(sorry if I messed up the spelling of your name), I cried with Urs, Melissa, Linda...OMG....we have to stop this. :-) Some were tears of joy and some were just tears of sadness. Gives me the chills just writing this.

I hope to see everyone really soon and hopefully see Sadie back on the dock one day.

And Linda you are very welcome, it was great having you in Lab row....your welcome anytime :-)

Love you all,
Cindy & Sadie

We had a great time too. Nevada had a blast with her wish kids. She especially took to Cody my shy one and even enticed him to jump her. Put a smile on his momma's face too. I love this event and wouldn't have missed it for the World. I also liked this venue. Hope we can do it again next year.

Gosh I didn't notice that there were so many bullies. Guess I am used to seeing them from flyball.... and the barks or whatever you call it that they do ;)

Congrats to everyone on all the personal bests.
