I took Tonka out to the Pittsburg event a few weeks ago, I introduced her to the dock, she went off the end one time (during practice) when we first got there, and didnt jump again that day :-( ... That was her first time ever trying do dock dive. So I decided to give it one more try at the Vallejo event last week. I would like to say how glad i did. The people who where running the event where great, and really helpful. With Randy & Jim's help that first day I was able to get Tonka to jump off the Dock, and once she got the hang of it she loved it!! So of course, I had to return over the next few days during the event, letting Tonka practice jumpimg, and again, the SplashDog group was GREAT!! I was worried they were going to get tired of seeing me lol ... I want to add, that up til this point, Tonka had been wearing a Doggy Vest to jump.
Then on Saturday, Jul 12, Tonka jumped in WAVE #11,with no Doggy Vest, jumping 6.00 feet (Just the day before her best was 5.00+ feet). Then in WAVE #12, My Tonka beat her best, and Jump 7.00 feet YAY!
