I've opened registration for the nv state fair, detroit and several other events recently. Make sure to get your pre-registrations in!
Also, the weekend of Sept 6-7 the event has changed from the seafood festival in pittsburg, ca to the kidsfaire in Pleasanton, ca!
I'll be opening registration for the soldier hollow classic by midweek next week and hope to have other events ready soon as well!

Hopefully we are coming from San Antonio. Have already reserved a spot for our RV, that is if gas doesn't get up to $5.00 a gallon by then.
Looking forward to being there.:)

cool! Yeah - we're fluctuating here around $4.50...
I see your signature - what flyball team do you compete with down in Texas? There are several other flyballers on this board and in this sport!

We were on Alamo Racing Canines in San Antonio. Norton, my golden, started flyball when he was just under a year old and we performed flyball at several half-time shows for the Spurs. We did lots of demos, then one year I went to Houston to watch flyball competitively and started the club here and was hooked from then on. I actually retired him in 2006. HE was coming up limping sometimes after tournaments. He loved flyball and would get so excited when we used to walk into the building tournaments were held at. HE would immediately start barking. He never did get into dock jumping. He would swim off the boat. Right now he doesn't do anything, he had osteosarcoma and we had to amputate his front leg, but he is so happy. He still keeps tennis balls beside him.
I know some of the Texas teams comes out to the Cynosports, and in fact several people from the agility club we belong to also come out. SO I'm excited about being there.
I'm looking forward to meeting lots of new people that enjoy this sport. Just wish we had more here in South Texas. But Marlowe has the lake he does a lot of jumping and actually about 3 1/2 hours from here, there is someone that has the pool and dock in her backyard and we go have fun jumps once or twice a month. But I am very excited about Scottsdale and hopefully nothing will stand in our way to get there.
Does anyone camp there? Is the RV parking a ways away from the setup?

Last year the RV parking was probably about 200 yds from splash dogs, further from agility and way far form flyball. It's on concrete, not good for tent camping. Ursula and I are debating renting an rv, but for now have reservations at la quinta. I would bring a bicycle for getting around the show if you are doing flyball there too.

We are just participating in SplashDogs. That is the only reason we are coming there. I don't have a dog doing flyball, nor agility at this time. Only dockjumping.
Wasn't sure about needing a vehicle there or not if the RV parking was a ways away from the activities. Walk we can do, thank goodness for crate dollies.
Thanks,
