I am hoping there is someone out there looking for a sweet 1 1/2 year old female black lab mix who loves to swim, loves to jump and catch a ball.
Lola has been a part of our family since she was a pup. We adopted her to be a friend to our 5 year old Husky mix. Lately, she has become agressive with our other dog. Lola has never been agressive at all with any other dog or person. But at home with our Husky, she fights for dominance around me. It only happens when I am around - Lola never harms our other dog when they're alone or my husband is around.
But unfortunately, after trying training and a behavioral specialist at the vet, we seem to have no other option but to adopt her out.
Because Lola is so driven and focused on playing ball, and because she is a good swimmer who gets along with other dogs at the dog park, I was hoping there may be someone out there interested in adopting Lola to train her as a Splash dog or at least a great companion to a Splash dog. I want her to have a happy home. She is spayed, current on all her shots, in excellent health, young and active.
If anyone has suggestions for me, please contact me at renoheidi@aol.com or 775-250-1563. It has already been suggested that Lola be a search and rescue animal and that did not work out. While Lola is very much Lab, she does have some pit bull in her (maybe 25%). So the search and rescue organization I looked in to would not accept her.
