Huge Congrats to Melissa & Stryker, just two week's after setting a new Splash Dogs Super Vertical Record of 7'8", Melissa and Stryker do it again! This time at the DockDogs World Championships, Melissa and Stryker hit that 7'8" mark and won the Extreme Vertical DockDogs World Championship!

Kudos to a team who is so well deserving of his accomplishments!
3 time SRS Crown Champion and record holder
2 time DockDogs World Champion
2 time Splash Dogs World Champion and record holder

I heard that Tractor had a new PB in Vertical - I believe it was 7 feet! Now I gotta step up my stalking....I know all the West Coast dogs gave them a run for their money...

I also want to say congratulations to a great team. Your achievements are beyond measure. I heard the 7'8" grab was made with room to spare so I'm sure we will see even more out of this great team.

All the dogs looked great on the dock. Striker kept the cup in California, Henry had everyone on pins and needles during the final four, Tractor popped out a PB during a huge event, and Nevada battled it out with the Iron Dogs. These dogs represented the Southwest in true form and kept the crowds on their feet every time they stepped on the dock. The 4 dogs and handlers went up against some of the best in the world and walked away from the event with great memories. In my book they all are winners and would have never made it without the support from the entire Splash Dog family.

Craig - I love the pics!!!

Teaser pics. The televised event (Logs & Dogs) should be even better. I heard Outdoor Channel will be chopping the event into a 4 series show. You'll be able to watch your favorite California dogs from start to finish.

Oh Yes, yes, yes.... Watching Stryker hit that 7'8' two times in a 2 week period was just magic. I got kinda lost on what the jump height was and saw him knock either the 7'4 or 7'6 and my heart skipped a beat but when he went for that 7'8 he had room to spare and I think could have hit the 7'10' with ease.

and... Henry my goodness you should have seen the perfect sit and wait when he popped off the 26'11" jump. Picture perfect it was.

and.... Tractor just kept going up and up and up. Lisa could hardly contain her joy at becoming a member of the 7 foot club.

Craig.... Nevada didn't actually battle it out with the Iron Dogs (we didn't make it) but she competed in all 3, Big Air, Speed and EV so in my book was an Iron Dog. She held her own and did her job acomplishing personal bests in Speed, jumping a 23'4" in Big Air and hitting another 6'2" in EV. I was proud regardless of making it in any of the finals. The highlight for me was qualifing to participate in the Lumberjack Relay and helping her team to a win.

Yes, the West Coast represented well :)

Congratulations again Melissa!!! You and Stryker are an amazing team. He is such a neat dog.

Thanks also for all the tips you gave me and endless support.. I appreciated it so much more than you can imagine.. because without it... we wouldn't have (and I should say I wouldn't have calmed my nerves enough to help him...) hit 7'!

It was an amazing weekend, that's for sure! Thanks for the congrats everyone!! :)
