I asked Mary & Randy for emergency vet information after reading on Dock Dogs of the tragic loss of 2 dogs on the way to an event. The following is Mary's reply. I would suggest that you mapquest this information to/from hotel/venue
Sorry to hear about the 2 dogs that passed on the way to the event. It
always worries me when we take Ka'ua off to places to stay.

We go to A-Plus Animal Hospital (Brad Lingenfelter, DVM and Roger
Works,
DVM) at 7025 Longley Lane #40, Reno, NV 89511, Phone #775-852-4300.
A-Plus
has another clinic at 2001 Prater Way, Sparks, NV, Phone #775-358-4300.

After hours, we have taken Ka'ua to Animal Emergency Center, 6425 S.
Virginia St., Reno, NV, Phone #775-851-3600. Animal Emergency Center
is
manned by various vets here in Reno-Sparks, as an on-call facility for
various clinics and vets. They are open after hours 7 days a week.

Please list both the A-Plus listings and the Animal Emergency Center.
Like
kids, and "Murphy's Law", something will always happen after hours.

Thanks Sandra, and look forward to seeing you!

Love and aloha,
Mary

Can we instill this as part of the normal competition registration table. We can print out and have local human and animal hospital information so that if it is ever needed - competitors know where to go to get it? I think it would be useful in times of need.

Okay Urs, I will work on that. Just promise you won't laugh when you see MickeyD & Peja with their "booties" on! :o

You know I can't promise that.... I'm laughing already. Have you started letting them wear them around the house so they get used to them? If not, then those of you going to Reno will have a great laugh watching these two walk in their booties!

Labrador puppy $500
Labradoodle $400
Dog Snow Booties $25

Watching Mikey D and Peja walk in their new booties - PRICELESS!!!!

Hey all,
Just so you know, my wife Christy is a trained and certified veterinary technician. She is applying to vet school. We will be there if anyone has any problems. See ya in Reno
