Tony,
Just curious how your family made it through Ike. Did they stay at their home or did they evacuate. Was thinking about them yesterday and today. I know a few people from Seabrook and Galveston Bay that came to San Antonio.
Hope they are OK.

Karla flew down there yesterday (Sunday) to assist in operating a mass care shelter for the Red Cross. She was to go the shelter where the fighting broke out yesterday, but it was deemed too unsafe at that time.
She's in Tyler, just outside of the Beaumont/Galveston area and will be there for 3 weeks working the shelters.

My son, Wesley, left today for Houston to lend a helping hand. They are in desperate need. Prayers to all.

Ike hit us in Columbus, of course not as bad as Texas, however we did go without power for 2 1/2 days!!! Some still have no power. We had a few deaths... Horrible... We are in a State iof Emergency at this point.... I am glad however we weren't in Texas!!! Best of luck to those affected!!!
