Big brag although not splashdog related

Just had to brag a bit on my old man Spud. Many of you know that my crazy pack and I play flyball and this past weekend Spud past a major milestone earning his ONYX title (20,000 points). Spud is a late bloomer and didn't start his flyball career until well into his 8th birthday so for him to accomplish this goal is a really big deal. Although Spud has never been super speedy, he runs with enthusiasm and has been a rock solid dog for his whole career. This past weekend he still showed that he wants to play so although he will be in semi retirement, thanks to my great teamates he will continue to race as long as he wants to. Spud is great proof that rescue dogs and older dog can do amazing things if you just give them a chance. I am so proud of Spud and feel truly bless to still have this amazing dog in my life.

Great job, JJ and Spud!!! Everyone at the Chessie house are very proud of you. I share your enthusiasm about the rescues, particularly the senior rescues. They still have a lot of life to live and love to give and often their true potential hasn't even been realized yet. JJ, you're such a great doggie mom and a model spokesperson for rescue. Spud, you just ROCK! Here's to another 20,000 points.....
