So crash, cricket and I are going to bakersfield on tuesday and possibly monday. What is the deal? Do we have to pay for parking and entrance? Can we pull right up to the site to drop stuff off? Any other inmportant info we need to know?

I am sooo excited for cricket to see her first competition and for you all to meet her.

Hope to see some familiar faces on tuesday, hopefully some of you aren't working!

* Parking: $5 per day in the Union Avenue Parking Lot
* Unloading: You may unload at your car.
* Event Entry: Through the Union Avenue Gate. Admission is $8 for adults and $3 for kids age 6-12. Competitors will receive one free entry with a competing dog. All others will be required to pay admission.
* Crating: TBD
* VERY IMPORTANT: NO DOGS OUTSIDE THE SPLASHDOGS AREA!!!! We request that dogs be crated when not participating in the event.

I believe it's not a short walk from your car to the splash dogs area. Maybe Stacie or someone else who has been there can chime in?

BRING WHEELS! It is a big trek to the crating area!!!!!!

Other then that its great. Setup is on grass and the gate people are REALLY nice and helpful. I actually walked through on my way out with the crates, canopy and two dobies and a GSP and they helped me where it got rough going out. But you will need wheels if you have anything you don't want to carry.

I really cant help out with information about how far the event is in the fair because I was with the crew (Randy, Lovette, Barbra, Mark, & Dillion), we came threw the back gate.

There is limited shade, with NO Trees. (if you have a canopy you might want to bring it
Bathrooms (port-a-pots) are very close as well.
Pool is on grass, and it is in a great
Location is GREAT, it is in juction with other types of events going on.

This was a pleasent event to go to. Loved seeing the crew from SplashDogs there, they made it very enjoyable, and pleasent!! Looking forward to see them all on Finals weekend!!!

Here is a few pictures of the layout. I hope it helps out some.

Hey Sarah,

After driving in and out of there over the weekend, probably the easiest way to get TO the fair is:

.99
.58 West
.Union Ave. Exit,
.Turn right onto Union
.Entrance will be on your right.

Now, when you LEAVE the Union Avenue lot, you can only turn right. So if you want to get back on the 58, you'll have to make a U-turn at the light.

Wendy, you said we may unload at our car...... Could you clarify please. Can we unload next to the pool and then move the car to the parking lot or do we have to wheel everything in from the parking lot???

Thanks,

Shari

You have to wheel everything in . If you tell them your competing the parking and admission is free :). It's not that far from the parking lot. If you show up an hour before the fair opens you can park close to the entrance. Make sure you go to the lot on Union Street.

Hmmmm.... think they will let me close to unload if I cry handicapped and stupid for falling in the first place Ho Hum!!
