Marty and Marilyn are safe. Sadie and I are also. So much smoke thou it's hard to breath out there. I called Andy yesterday and he texted my son back saying fire close, but so far all ok. Have not heard from him today. Think I'll try and call him now.

I am good here. Smokey air quality though but safe and out of harms way. I have several family members who live in Sylmar and they are all okay too.

Jillie's gang is fine as we are way South, BUT today I went to Anaheim Hills to call on one of my accounts off the 91 and Imperial Highway..Hills from Anaheim to Yorba Linda were alll black all the way around..very strange panorama- just looked horrid...so very sad.
We are glad for the roll call so far-hopefully all are fine.

The winds have died down and cooler weather is coming our way. We haven't had so many homes lost in a fire in a while.

So glad everyone is doing fine! Still can't take Tessa for her jog, though, because the air is so bad. I have to watch that kind of stuff with her immune system. Rather be safe.

Hi Everyone -

We're all ok here in Long Beach. We had a tracking seminar all weekend, so we were actually outside Saturday/Sunday. Not the smartest thing to do, but who said dog trainers always did the smart thing?? LOTS of ash in the air on Saturday, big chunks all over everything. Sunday was better. Today not bad at all.

On Saturday morning, I noticed some smoke in the distance and it looked like it was close, just over the freeway from where we were. Only later did we realize that it was HUGE and much further away in the Yorba Linda area. We were essentially surrounded from Yorba Linda/Brea to Sylmar to Montecito.... fortunately all were far enough to not be worrisome for me personally. All I could think about, tho', looking at those ashes was "there's somebody's house..." Very sad.
