Yippee! We're in splash withdrawls after Cyno so have been looking forward to ISE ;)
I didn't realize that San Mateo and Sacramento were both outdoor events. Are they sheltered from the wind or covered at all, or do people usually just bring their own canopies? Is there a rain contingency (I'm sure the wet dogs don't mind but our canopy definitely doesn't do rain)? Hannah got cold tail at Prunedale so I have to figure out how to keep her warm enough between jumps so any suggestions for winter competitions would be greatly appreciated (I'm assuming lots of towels and rubdowns at least -- maybe a new warm doggie coat for Christmas).
See you there!

Yes, they can be chilly, but we're hoping the weather cooperates. Not really any shelter unless you bring your own, although I know most people are willing to share!
Yes, lots of towels, rub downs, drying off. Warm up before hand and warm down after. lots of blankets for the crate (so you can replace them as they get wet) and I bring something to put over the crate to try to keep the heat in.
Renegade has 2 pieces of clothing for these events. One is his coat to keep him warm while he's fairly dry. I love the foggy mountain turnout coat I got him from clean run (http://www.cleanrun.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=product.display&Product_ID=649&ParentCat=153&CFID=2714359&CFTOKEN=52491890) - it fits him really well, is really warm and stays on nicely during running about. I know there are a lot of great coats out there though.
His 2nd piece of clothing is a neoprene wet suit that he wears while he jumps. Whenever I put my hand under it, I'm amazed at how warm his body is. Not sure where auntie Urs bought Ren's coat, but I found it at: http://www.gundogsupply.com/luckydog-reversible-vest.html
