San Mateo ISE - who's coming out?

The New Year is about to kick off and I'm wondeirng who I get to give a New Year hug to next weekend in San Mateo!? Ally, Ryan and I will be in San Mateo staffing the event and hope many of you will come out and kick the New Year off with us!

Won't be in San Mateo this year.....too far away....plus with the economy being tight....would not be kind to the budget....

We will miss seeing Dega's first 3 legged jump! Go Dega!!!!

Hi Urs & All,

Hope everyone will be there. Dega is going this today or Sunday to Redwood City to get her first dock jump out of her way.

So far there is nothing the tri-pod racer can't do, and we are hoping to seal the deal before next weekend.

We look forward to seeing her just go off the dock no matter what 3 legs does to her distance.

We will also be trying to raise funds for Chase Away K9 group. Not sure if we will pull all our vision off in San Mateo but we will be fully ready for Sacramento.

Gianna & Dega, all these posts about 'no dry eyes' concerning the movie. I'm sitting here at my desk and I think about seeing Miss Dega do her "tri pod thing", and I don't have a dry eye!! You go girls, Tinka and I will be rooting for you.

We'll be there Saturday and maybe Sunday with Hannah and Torri. Hopefully Thursday late afternoon too if I can get away from work early. I just looked up the weather and if they are right that far out, it should be sunny and up to 58/59 next weekend -- yippee! My husband is looking forward to the ISE show so that's a bonus with this event.

We've got new blankets and gear to keep the dogs (and us!) warm and hopefully avoid another round of cold/dead tail. If you haven't had a dog get cold tail before, Hannah's was quite painful so please remember to keep your dog warm to avoid sprained muscles. What is the ground we setup on for this venue -- I'm guessing concrete/asphalt.

Our latest foster dog (~ 11 mos female chocolate lab) will be coming as an observer -- Cocoa loves the water but is bored by retrieving. If anyone is looking for another dog, her info is at www.LabsUnleashed.com/rescue and can meet her in San Mateo.

No tears beautiful....Dega only allows smiles and cheers. I promise you & everyone else that this lab is 100& spiritually the same girl.

KTVU was at the event on Thursday and took some video including SplashDogs (of course the best part of the expo!). They took some more video of Gaea, Hannah, and Gunner before the 4pm wave but I haven't seen it show up yet. We're just about to head up for the afternoon waves -- Hannah hit a new personal best on Thursday (after a horrible first wave where she showed we hadn't practiced since Cyno) so we're looking forward to seeing how she and Torri do today!

Not sure if i'm right on this (in terms of whether it matters) but.....Vito Burgraff jumped Primo in 2 waves (7 and 8) today with a 23 and 23'1" jump.

I think that means he'll have to jump him in the finals, right?

The dog qualifies for the finals with his top jump. However, any handler who has handled the dog during the event may handle the dog in the finals.

Just wanted to say how nice everyone was to us on Saturday at our first Splash Dog event. A great group of people and a fun day for Cheyenne our Australian Shepherd. She had the time of her life! Hope to see more of you guys at future events.
