Hey all,

We wanted to thank the Splash Dogs crew for making this weekend's event great fun! Thanks to Wendy for letting my psychotic bunch lay around in her camp - Twiztid and Gunner were not happy sitting and waiting in their kennels while others jumped and Twiztid being a staffy was very upset when he saw me and Gunner go up...the Jack Russells have nothing on the sounds a staffy can make.

I was very excited to see that our little Staffy - Twiztid finally took the plunge off the dock. Though he needed some reminding here and there, that is a pretty tall leap for him. He is only 15 1/2" at the shoulder. He did his best and took some nice belly flops off the dock! Yeah Twizzy...that makes 3 dogs in our home dock jumpers - that's cool!!! We're gonna have to start looking at way's for multiple dog discounts....lol

It was great meeting Haley and her parents along with Rex and Odie. Haley, is one great little handler and is so calm when she gets on that dock. I was very proud to compete with her and see her and Odie in action!

Thanks all! Also - hey since we only made it on Saturday - what were the Pro final placements????

The reason I did not mention Gunner is that he really was there (well not for the finals) the "other" dogs were make believe!!!! Besides if you had made it on Sunday MickeyD would not have that blue ribbon!!!!!But Shhhh let's not tell anyone!!!

I saw the pics - that was very cool.

We took advantage of the lure coursing on Saturday when we were there also - our Twizzy loves it and Gunner makes a game out of anything, so had to do it.

Twiz ended up with the 2nd best time of the day on Saturday - yeah Twizzy! Dock jumping, lure coursing and flyball...hmm what's next?????????

Congratulations Mickey D on the first place ribbon :!: The dogs and I were dissappointed we couldn't make it  . Especially Emma who is not much of a dock dog but ROCKS the lure course. Not to brag or anything (well actually I guess I am) but her best time (on what looks to be the same course) was 12.06 which is pretty good for such a little thing. I hope that there are more of these combo events in the future.

I agree that Madera was great fun! Congrats from us to Mickey D.

Renegade had lots of fun dock diving despite me stressing out over my throw and completely throwing out of the pool a few times. Back to tossing in a bucket in the backyard for me.

Renegade loved the lure coursing as well and at one point tried to drag me over there instead of to the dock! He was quite proud to have the fastest big dog time on Saturday.

Jasper (my 7 yr old golden) competed for the first time this weekend as well and although he's flopping from the dock rather than jumping he's having a blast.

I wanted to complement Amanda for her great spirit of fun - she handled Jasper for me on Saturday and they posted a whopping 12" jump. Jasper had fun and Amanda was excited for him too which I think is awesome. She comes out willing to jump any dog and have fun regardless of how far they jump!

Congradulations Mickey D, ya gotta love the blue

Jim & Sandra, I've heard so many great things about you two from Bart and Mickey D bringing home the blue last weekend has got to feel great.
Knowing your story has helped me get back on the dock and go on with my girls, & I know that Chase is with me just like I know that Cash is always watching over you guys.

Enjoy your win you never know when the next one will come, yesterday was a one year anniversary of Chase's 1st and only overall win in a National event and it sure would have been great to snuggle with her again on her day but I did enjoy looking back and looking at the photo's and the smiles these kids bring to our hearts.

cera & the 3 bb's forever :D

Wendy - Amanda loved jumping Jasper...makes me smile everytime I go out there with her. She really doesn't care how far the dog will go, just that it goes, sometimes I need to remember this when Gunner is trying my patience.

She really is a great little handler and doesn't seem to give up when her teammates don't have the courage to jump - she just keeps going and cheering them on until they do....

I'm a very proud Mom to have a daughter who see's this sport for what it really is for all dogs, FUN!
