DASY belonged to Navy Seal Marcus Luttrel. She was given to him after he was wounded and returned home. Not only was DASY part of his family she was also part of his therapy; each letter in her name is the initial of a fallen team member. DASY was shot and killed by some punks just for the "fun of it". Suzy, thanks for bringing this to everyones attention. Stories like this just make you sick. Hopefully these worthless sh*tbirds (pardon my french) get prosecuted to the fullest. It's bad enough that Marcus had to go through the tragedy in Afghanistan but now he has to go through another personal tragedy.

I hadn't heard about this so thanks for sharing -- very very sad and worth the time to support this American hero with some justice. The sentences for animal cruelty are way too light even with the maximums. Hopefully with the attention this case is receiving, it will send a message about the severity of this crime to others who abuse animals (which usually link to abusers of children and women too).

I seriously hope these losers who have no idea the pain they have caused get all that they deserve and more.
