Jim and I are fostering this wonderful 2 year old labradoodle. He is a neutered male that is very sweet and loving. Knows some basics but needs some work. Same old story family having a baby blah blah blah heard it a million times. This guy is adorable and will not leave your side! We were told he jumps 6' fences (Hmmmm EV dog?) but have not seen any sign of that; no dog wants to leave here anyway! He weighs 66#'s, heart worm negative, and all of his shots are up to date. He is being adopted out of AAARF (Auburn Area Animal Rescue)

Looks like you have another cute one temporarily in your family, Sandra! I'll keep my ears open though my current contacts are both looking for full Labs. Are you coming to Vallejo? If so, we hope to meet Marley then (if he doesn't already have a new home)!

It makes me so mad that people think of pets as disposable toys. It's nice to hang out with our SplashDogs family who knows that these beloved companions are lifetime commitments! Oh well, I bet Marley will be better off for it when he finds a FOREVER home.

And one more note on the theme of rescues, our construction project is finished (yeah!) so Troy says we can take on another young Lab rescue when one is in need -- let me know if there is one we can help.

Here is a picture of Marley and his new "forever" home. Debbie & Al came from Santa Rosa to adopt Marley. I am confident that Marley has a wonderful home. Jim and I had really bonded with Marley so this one was difficult to say good-bye to!

Another happy ending. Sometimes it's hard to say goodbye but by saying goodbye means that you can once again open your home and help another dog. You guys are the best!

Congrats, Sandra and Jim! Marley looks quite at home with his new family. I empathize with the hole it leaves in your heart though -- it's so easy to bond with love-starved dogs -- so hope the sadness fades for you soon and leaves you with good memories.
