I signed up for the first wave at Vallejo on Wednesday. (This is our first attempt to do anything like this, LOL, so hopefully we won't seem totally clueless.) Where in the fairgrounds will the SplashDogs setup be?

Thanks!

There is often an event email sent to those who pre-registered with any last minute information. I usually just go to the gate listed in the event info (employee/vendor parking and Sage St "will call" per http://www.splashdogs.com/events/register/Vallejo07-22.php) and then ask the event folks at that gate to point me in the right direction for SplashDogs. That's always worked best for me -- it's hard to miss the big blue pool and the SplashDogs cheers so we're always easy to find.

There are newbies at every event so you won't be alone -- you'll find it's much more casual than other animal competitions so you can relax and have fun with your dog. If you haven't read the SplashDogs newcomers guide yet, that will help know what to expect like starting your dog on the out ramp. The pool wranglers and veterans are always willing to assist since we all want the dogs to have a positive experience (and the people too!). But be prepared to be addicted -- no one warned me that my calendar would be controlled by our next dock diving "fix" after our first event 11 months ago!

Hey Cyndi, Funny how that "addiction" thing always seems to happen! ;)

Yea Stacie, the Surgeon General is going to make us post an addiction warning on our site soon!

I'm sure we'll be able to find the setup, although please keep an eye out for some clueless-and-lost people toting a Portuguese Water Dog around! :)

See you tomorrow! Thanks!!
