Monterey Splash Dogs

I just finished googling dog-friendly hotels in Monterey and couldn't find anything for under $200 a night & most were $400!! Little more than my dock jumping budget will permit.

We finally got a new "dog car" (it's so nice!) and would love to spend the weekend in Monterey & do dock jumping 8/13 - 8/16.

Anybody know of place a little less expensive than $200/night?

If your willing to drive 1/2 hour you could find more fair prices in Santa Cruz, Aptos, or Capitola.

Incorporating it into a camp trip near Monterey is really reasonable if you don't mind camping.

You could also look in Marina Dunes. There is a RV park that we stay at, but I know there is hotels there.

We could not find a space anywhere near the fairgrounds i did find available spots at monterey / santa cruz koa reserve america.com i think is resevation page we live 45 minutes away so were gonna just drive back and forth although i was hopeing for a mini vaca , We are close and our pool is available for practice email if interested Rhonna & denali , Cye too

Another option would be Salinas - just 20-30 mins away.....

Thanks for all the great suggestions! We decided to make a mini vaca out of it and found a nice B&B in the mountains with large fenced area for the Nickmeister to play in. Looking forward to seeing everyone in Monterey.
