So - who are we expecting this weekend in Monterey? First day of competition is over and I've got some very tired dogs!!! Lots of practice time today. We had several newcomers come out for practice, a few are going to return for competition and a new SV dog will be back on Saturday for the SV comp.
The weather is absolutely perfect. Temps were in high 70's with cool morning and evenings. The area is partially shaded, though we are on dirt, so be prepared for dusty stuff and dirty feet. The pool/dock area is carpeted to help reduce the amount of dirt in the pool, Thanks Tony!

We are going to try and come out on Sunday. It is her turn to have a fun weekend.

I know there were some concerns over the parking at Monterey County Fair - however I will tell you, I've been told it was a breeze! Shuttles are ready and waiting at the college and unloading is close and convenient to the SD Venue!
MiM! I agree it is Angel's weekend for some fun! Bring her on out, it's a beautiful weekend in Monterey, big crowds and lots of practice time!

Hannah will be there on Sat & Sun! We practiced our new frisbee technique last weekend so I can hardly wait to get a measurement. We were at about 75% catches at our practice ramp so Hannah is definitely more motivated to reach again. The first wave will put us into the 1/4 Frequent Flyer club (just need 20' more) -- yippee!
Also, we have another chocolate female Lab rescue who we'll be bringing and hoping to introduce her to her forever family -- Urs, please keep sending folks to our tent ;) I'm working on Lady's flyers so can have some to hand out on Saturday.
Thanks for the good news on the shuttle and the tips about dust -- we'll add a ground tarp to our packing list!

Hey Urs! Robin and I have not pre-registered. Do I need to do so online (am I too late?)?
Will tickets to get in be available "at the door," or will we have to pay entry fees to get into the fair if I haven't already registered?
sorry for all the last-minute questions. don't you just HATE these people who wait until the last minute and then don't know what the heck they're doing????

Cyndi:
Will be anxiously awaiting to hear Hannah's results with your new and improved technique! Good luck with your little rescue girl too...did you see we got our little girl Betty adopted today? Another great home! We are so fortunate and wish you all the luck in the world. Keep us posted.

Cyndi- looking forward to seeing you and Hannah and I can't wait to see the new frisbee technique!
Pre-Registration is not required. Read the Registration page for directions on how to get into the Fair - basically go to Gate 6. The Fair staff have been very nice. Come on out! Looking forward to seeing you guys!
