The LA County Fair was kicked off by some awesome jumping in all divisions! Not to mention a record or two broken!

Henry and Perry Collier set a new PB and broke the Chessie Breed Record with a 27'02" jump! It was an amazing jump to see, from my vantage point it looked like Henry was gonna jump right out of the pool!

Roxy the flying Chihuhua and Vit Kruml set a new PB and broke the Chihuhua Breed Record with a jump of 5'04!

Congrats everyone who set new Personal Bests (sorry if I missed anyone)!
Diesel and Janelle 16'10"
Rudy and Barbara Kruml 20'
Zoe and Jennifer Tudor 20'04"

Looking forward to seeing many more of you out here. Please remember that you must register by the closing date in order to bring any dogs onsite. All dogs onsite must be registered. There is a strict 20 dog cut off per day by the Fair.

Congrats everyone! Wish I could be there, but in order to pay for Splash Dogs, I've got to do this thing called work:( It always gets in the way of fun. Anyways, great job on all the new PB's!

The dogs are jumping big in LA!

Super V was awesome, several dogs set new PB's in SV as well! Newcomers Dusty and Chris Kakuuchi previously in the 6 foot range went all the way up to 6'4" and barely missed 6'6", Cricket and Sarah got up to 5'6" and yes, Henry hit a 7'4". We welcomed a few newcomers in practice for SV as well, Diesel and Janelle, Tess & Barb Adler.

I'm also a proud Grandma - Aries and I popped off two personal bests today, 25'08 and 26!

There is still room in weeks 3 -5, get your registrations in!

I heard that Henry also did 7'4 with Perry in SV.

Was a good day for the vertical dogs with Cricket and Dusty grabbing PB's and Henry just being his normal psycho self!

Perry's first time doing vertical and he rocked the dock with Henry. Henry yanked 7'4 with ease and probably would have got the 7'6 if he would stop swimming 5 minute victory laps between every grab. Who said you can’t teach an old dog new tricks.

The Week 1 Finals ran today and a huge congrats goes out to all of our finalists.

Some hilights!

What a thrill first a three legged dock jumping dog named Talladega and now a one eyed dock jumper from Florida joined us, One Eyed Lucy and Beth Walter - it was a pleasure meeting you guys!

Cori Kruml, Junior Handler handled 5 dogs so far and competed w/4 of them in the various finals...Vandal, Sniper, Dusty, Roxy, Sierra. Cori and Vandal took the Open Final fist place w/a 17+ foot jump!

Newcomer Ramona and her dog Anton ended up in the Pro Division in their first competition w/a top jump of 19'10"!

Another newcomer Naci Berkoz and his border collie Will came out for their first competition and got a pb of 12'06" and was in his first Open Final!

Barbra Kruml took her first dip in the pool as she and Rudy hit a 20'03" jump in the Pro Finals!!!! A new PB for this team!

Cricket and I had an awesome time on Sunday, I am proud of my little dog, who mind you, is only two inches above the lap dog cut off. The little leaping girl hit a new PB of 5'6" in only our 3rd vertical event! :) Sundays vertical was an awesome event, my throat was soar from screaming. Dusty and Henry put on quite a show.

I am so stoked for everyone else that competed today and am sorry I wasn't there today to see it. Especially Barb jumping in the pool! Hope someone got a picture of her, hahaha, payback. Also, a big congrats to Matt and Blackie!!

I look forward to seeing some of you on Friday! :)

No, no, Mzzzzz. Cross. Barb FELL in the pool. And, as if ONCE wasn't enough, she did it TWICE! I'm thinking of changing my "screen name" to "Handler Klutz!"

Better yet, I think I'll just have Tess throw for ME! HAHAHAHA!

Congrats on Cricket doing so well at SV! You were quite the cheerleader! Well deserved!

LOVED being your "neighbor." When you coming up again???????

What a w/e - Way too much fun.

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you to Urs and all the Splash Dogs crew and Vit & Barb from Learning to Fly for all the help and support. What a sport this is, family, friends, dogs and a whole lot of fun. I can't stop smiling today, we had a blast. It doesn't hurt when your dogs set 3 PB's and you take a dip in the pool with about 10+ other proud dog owners.
BTW Urs, I was checking out the waves and Diesel hit a 17'04" on wave #2 after the 16'10" we forgot about in all the weekends excitment. It just keeps getting better and better!

Cheers to Splash Dogs!

Barb put a few pics of her 6' jump on facebook. She had really good "pop" off the dock but the distance just wasn't there.
Way to go L.T.F. CREW! Great job everyone. PB's all over the place. We'll see everyone soon. Congrats goes out to my buddy Blackie for taking first in the finals.
Barb A. also had a PB for the most times falling in the pool in a single day. CONGRATS! Hey Urs, is there a record for that?
I don't know about everyone else, but I had a good time playing pick the dog from the hat. Might be a fun thing to incorporate into the competition.
Congrats also goes out to Perry and Henry. That dogs fun to watch!
BIG CONGRATS, goes out to Urs for her 26' jump with Aries. He's back!

Thanks to all for making us feel welcome. We had a blast, and so did Lucy.
No PB for her, but its a good day when its spent in a pool.

I love seeing everyone's dogs, and all the various lab faces and colors. They're all different but oh so lovable.
Awesome weekend, we feel really lucky to have taken part.

Enjoy the rest of the fair - Like Ursula says, "a tired dog is a good dog." There'll be lots of good dogs, this month !

Sure wish we could be there too. Ashley is right, that darn "work thing" gets in the way of all our fun! Sure great to hear all the news. Is there a picture of this incredible Chihuahua, Roxy? My family has Chihuahuas, each of which HATE water, and they are convinced I am making up stories about a dock jumping Chihuahua!

Lucy, it was great meeting you and your Mom and Dad. We'll see you guys soon at another event. You guys are very lucky to have such a sweet girl.

Thunderpaws, send us an e-mail at learningtofly@cox.net so we can send a few photos of Roxy. We started jumping her at four months of age into a heated spa. She loves to jump and swim if the waters warm enough.

Thank you to everyone who made my niece feel like a member of the splashdog family!! She had the time of her life jumping Crash and she had a great time meeting all of you and hanging out. On the way home she was telling me over and over how much fun she had and how nice everybody was to her :)

You guys are the best!!!

Yay for little Crash mans first personal best in a year and yay for little Cricket's vertical best.

We are so excited for next Saturday, good luck to everyone in the finals today :)
