I apologise for any errors that have been made I have never been a good secretary (but most likely it will be Robs fault for giving the info   )

Well after Rob rubbing it in over & over on what a killer event I had missed I am off the phone with Rob.
He said they had 300- 400 dogs that had competed and nearly 800 dogs give it a try!! WOW WEE!!!!
They are now in the tear down mode. I could hear people in the background stating what a wonderful time it had been!!
I am sure it will be talked about for a long time :D :D :D

Congradulations Tony & the Splash Dog Crew on yet another successful event!!!!
Please keep them coming!!!!

Wow what a weekend. That event was great. Dogs were jumping big this weekend. I had a great time, unfortunately this was not one of Maximus's best performances. I am not sure what really happened with him, he compelety lost all confidence on that dock and was not jumping big. He did his first jump with only one warm up jump and hit a 19' footer after that it was all down hill. He only made the Senior finals and jumped a whopping 11 feet. It was a little disappointing, he was jogging down the dock stopping and then jumping. Even tried set and release and he galloped, stopped and jumped. Other than that it was great to meet alot of new people and enjoyed some sunshine.

SV results were
Stryker 7'0" Time would not permit for more jumping
Gunner 6'10"PB just missed 7'0"

Stryker qualified the day before with a 7'4"

Bubbles also won Lap dog division with a 15'5" and Twiztid had a PB with a jump of 7 feet. Go Twizzy

I will be posting some great pictures later on this evening that I took, but I do have a couple with me Of Maximus of course that I will be posting shortly.

Wow, talk about a rough day for Max. I thought for sure I was going to hear that you hit another 20' or even 21'+ jump. I guess he thought the pool looked to small and he'd jump over it after practicing out at the Grand Canyon.

How did he do in the vertical?

Maximus hasn't done SV since July and during practice it took him seven jumps to get it because he was leaving 6 feet early and Finals were right after it and I started him at 5'2" and he made to 5'6" and was pretty tired after that. Poor guy. :(

What an incredible show!! Thanks to everyone working behind the scenes - Tony, Greg, Wendy, Lisa, etc. I know it was a madhouse with so many dogs, but you guys were WONDERFUL working with our conflicts, and it was VERY much appreciated! LOVE the shirts, too!

Wish we could be at the January Splash Dogs event, but I think it's during my Michigan trip. Family is begging for a visit and I was at least able to miss the holiday madness.

Kudos to everyone for some great jumps and nail-biting competition! We really need a place to train in the O.C./L.A. area! <hint-hint Tony> Brian - I hope Maximus is ok?

Looking forward to the next show!

What Brian forgot to mention, after Maximus' 19 footer he took a fall off the top of the ramp. We believe he either hurt himself or completely lost all confidence in what he was doing. As you know, Bully's have a high pain tolerance, so may be a mixture of both. Poor Guy.... :(

Well, I'm just back from the chiropractor with Renegade and turns out he had 3 verterbrae out and both sides of his pelvis were out too. Chiropractor said even one side of the pelvis without the other side or the lumbar sacral issues would have resulted in the short jumps I got from him this weekend. I feel bad that I had him jump all weekend in pain - but I'm pleased that it was an easy to fix problem and that it wasn't a mental or training issue! I'm also really pleased that he pulled out 5'10" in super v and a 20'10" jump for his last jump in the senior finals despite the fact that he was hurting! Hopefully he'll be back over 20' regularly in January again.

Hi Wendy:
Glad to hear nothing serious! You did a terrific job on this event...I know how much work they are! We will see you in San Diego in January. Jim & I were out looking at travel trailers all day today after spending the night in a Super 8 we think we will buy one! Take care.
