We finally made it home! Jim decided to take a shortcut and he managed to add an additional 2 hours to the already 12 hour drive! Thanks Craig for the tip! Craig is Stanley's handler and a wonderful new addtional to our Splash Dogs family. He was the one who gave Jim the route only Jim could not remember it all! Old Age? We had such a wonderful time. It was great to see all of our wonderful friends. The final four in the Pro was awesome...imagine 3 of the dogs tied at 23' 6" amazing. Now for MickeyD did he sit and stay?????? Well almost! Melody & Joe have promised to come to Auburn and work with him! Good Luck on that one! Bryan Miller we sure missed you! Plan on flying down to the San Diego event in January....please??? Thanks Tony for another great event!

I will have to second that---the event was amazing! I had a wonderful time, even though I really missed my pups, that was the first time I've been to an event without them. But it was really great to meet everyone from the west coast, you are all a wonderful, friendly bunch that made me feel right at home. Thanks to Wendy for all your hard work and organization, I would have been an absolute mess without you! We worked really well together. Now you need to come east and work an event with me here. Thanks for letting me attempt to jump Ren, even though I confused the crap out of him--helped with my dog withdrawl. And kudos to Lisa for working the "store", I don't think so much would have been sold without you there to take care of it and organize the madness! Thanks for all the refreshments too!
Hopefully I can make it out west again for another event, I really had fun with everyone, I'd love to see everyone again! Maybe ya'll can make it out here too, and meet the Ultimate Air family, we'd love to have you!
Thanks EVERYONE for all your hard work!

I agree - it was an awesome event! Tons of fun - great to see all the dogs jumping, swimming and having fun. I made it home late-afternoon after a not so fun 11 hour drive by myself. Left phoenix at 5:30am (which is 4:30am cal time) and made it home by 4pm. (Urs, let me know that you made it home ok too!).
Sara, it was great to meet you and work with you - I agree that we worked well together! You might just convince me to return to Michigan for an event. I swore I'd left behind the snow for good when I moved away after college, but sounds like you guys have a good group out there (just don't tell my in-laws I'm in the state if I make it).
Thanks to all who helped us run the event. We had well over 500-600 dogs doing practice dock time in addition to all the competitors and we couldn't have done it without all the volunteers. I'm sure I'll leave some people out, but thanks to Sara for running registration and dealing with the results and the finals bubble and for helping to keep me sane (at least most of the time). Thanks to Lisa for running the store, and thanks to rob, marty, marilynn, melanie, joe, bill, jonnie, melissa, urs, brian, jr and everyone else I saw wrangling and helping out in other ways at some point during the weekend. Greg did a great job announcing as usual and helped to keep order to the chaos.
Ren's off to the chiropractor this afternoon just to verify that his less than stellar jumps this weekend were not due to physical issues...
See you all in January! (thank goodness I have agility events between now and then or I think Renegade and Jasper would stage a mutiny at not getting to get out for competitions!)

Well we're home! And I'm back to work, NOT!
This weekend was awesome, thank you to my TTT teammates for pulling my arm to go. Things fell into place and Gunn, Twiz and I made it to Scottsdale and back in one piece, lol. And now we look back and think, gosh did the time fly by fast or what....
Thank you to all of the Splash Dogs crew, it was a great weekend and a great close to the competition year. Thank you for keeping dock jumping on the West Coast! Sara - please come back soon, it was great meeting you. I believe Melissa will be planning a trip for TTT to be getting out your way sometime in 2007.
As for the weekend, I'm a proud Mom, how could I not be, Twiz with his new PB from a stand still - 7 feet, another PB in lure coursing at 12.66! Way to go Twiz!!!!! Gunner with 2nd place in SV topping at 6'10", and as Brian pointed out almost 7 feet and of course the Pro Finals...3rd place.
Big congrats to a little dog named Bubbles, who took the 1st ever Lap Dog Championship at 15' 5"! Wow! Also congrats to everyone else, my mind is a blank right now, but there were several new PB's this weekend. I was so happy to be with my SD Family and of course meet new friends along the way.
Thanks all for making the 11 hour drive worth it!!!!

Awesome is putting it mildly, Stanley and I had a great time. Thanks everyone for getting me hooked on the sport. This was Stanleys first event and not his last. On the drive home he told me he'll jump over 20ft if I go out and purchase a foldup crate, cart and shade tent. Sandra, directions to San Diego are easy but remember if you go to far you'll have to jump MickeyD in Mexico!
