Redfish Cup Bad News

I just read that the Redfish Cup will not be run in 2010. Lack of funding. Last year was my first time entering. It was the Redfish Cup here in Pensacola fl. My dog Beau won the Super Virtical. We had a great time. I was looking foward to this year. I was going to try and save money to go the the Redfish Cup in Louisiana the next closest place. This is such a shame because I really can"t afford to travel. We may never get to do it again.

Splash Dogs was disapointed in this news, however we are looking forward to being w/the RedFish Cup when they return in 2011!

aanr - there will be a few Florida events this year, maybe you can make it to one of those?

Do you know where/when in Fla? There were some Ft. Myers events previously, but that's about 600 miles from us here in the NW Fla. Panhandle.
We have a retriever club here that is interested in having someone put on a dock event. I think they even have access to a 50' portable pool. They just need knowledgeable people to help put it on.
