I want to extend my condolences to Jack and Rachel Barry today. Their rescue Chessie, Lando, who they adopted from CBR Rescue a couple of years ago unexpectedly died this morning. Lando was a beautiful Chessie with a typical personality. Jack and Rachel, always up for a challenge, did an incredible job with him and made him the best dog he could be.
Lando (aka Red) came to CBR Rescue via the Orange County shelter. He had been turned in but adopted before made available to rescue. The woman who adopted him moved to Oregon and then later decided he was not a good fit for her family. But, wanting to be sure he went to a great home, she flew back down to the OC with him to leave him in SoCal CBR Rescue's care. Rachel and Jack agreed to foster him and he became their foster failure.
