Question about Reno, Nevada events

There are two Reno events:
Tamarack Junction Summer Solstice and NV State Fair.

I want to choose one, but because I will be traveling with some friends, I want them to be entertained by the event overall, not just splashdogs.

Which one of these two events are bigger, more populated (vendors, attractions, food, etc)?

Also, what is Tamarack Junction Summer Solstice? I tried to look for somehting on line, but no luck.

The Tamarack Summer Solstice is sponsored by Tamarack Junction which is a casino at the south end of Virginia St. It is called the Summer Solstice because they plan the event closest to the summer solstice which is June 21. For wanting more to do probably the state fair would be the one to do. There is quite a bit to do at the fair besides splash dogging. I hope this answered your question.
