It was a beautiful day here in Jesup, Iowa!

Sarge and I are having a great time with Tony and Sierra, and we've met Kent who is a MN guy, don't cha know hey!?!

Had some neat dogs come out for some fun! There's a cool, absolutely beautiful golden rtvr here by the name of Moscow--and he's formerly from Russia too--he's a very white golden. A young man, Kyle, is doing great with his dog Morgan--she's a sweetie--who has the typical high drive to "go get the stick"!!! And, he named her after the infamous "Little Morgan" Mike Jackson's dog of fame in the sport--how cool is that?

Sarge is currently super cashed out on the hotel bed--he had plenty of fun in the sun and water today! :-)

Hey back Urs!! :-) Sarge missed Gunner on this trip! (remember that one so long ago? LoL)

The event in Jesup, Iowa was a great time. Met some really fantastic people who love their dogs and are excited about the sport. A poodle/cheasapeake bay retrvr mix, Buster (from WA) took 2nd place and a local GSP, Bentley, took 1st place. All great dogs--but of course I'm biased and LOVE the Bentley!

I think one of the things I loved best about this event in Jesup was the excitement of the new handlers, the dogs meeting "the pool" for the first time, the genuineness of everyone. Overall, the event reminded me of ALL the things I had always loved about the sport but kept missing. I have to thank all those great people in Jesup for taking me back to my dock jumping roots! I think it was a well needed and appreciated trip!

Hopefully I'll see some of you somewhere down the dock! :-)

After all is said and done and I'm packing to head home this morning, I look over at that silly GSP crashed out sleeping on the hotel bed and I know the most important thing to me about the sport is simply spending road time with my bestest buddy 'ol Sarge Pants! (Shhhhhh...don't tell Hope! because I left her home with dad!)
