Super excited about the Nationals in Las Vegas! Starting to plan our little mini-vacation already. Pyro's going to have to brush up on his 'poker face' before he goes, though. He always gives away his hand...Hopefully we will see all of you there.

Excited to see the National Championship is going to be in Vegas!! Since this is my first couple months in splash dogs. How exactly does the National Finals work? I want to make sure Koda has enough jumps to qualify??

In order to qualify, your dog has to have 5 jumps in one division: Splash, Junior, Senior, Pro or Extreme. If your dog qualifies in more than one division, then you would compete in the higher of the two. There are a few last minute qualifiers at the Nationals on Thursday and Friday I believe. It isn't like a normal event where you compete against everyone, you only compete in the division that you have qualified in. There will be more info as it gets closer to the time. I haven't been to a National event before either, and I hope I've gotten everything right. Hope to see you guys there!

Thanks Ashley,
I thought that is how I understood it as well.
So if Koda has competed in 6 different waves with 5 senior jumps and 1 pro jump. Not including Finals. See qualifies for Senior division.
However if Koda were to jump 4 more times in the Pro division then she would qualify for the Pro and not the Senior. Which she will hopefully do this weekend in Reno. :)
If I'm understanding this correctly?

Finals count towards the 5 legs in a division. But yes, if she gets 4 more pro jumps than she'll compete with the "Pro" dogs, and not the "Senior" dogs. I hope you guys can do it, and it sounds like you're planning on coming to vegas. It will be a first for quite a few amazing jumping dogs, so it's bound to be a great event!

Dave - Ashley has it correct. You can check your 2010 stats for your team at the following link...you put in the dogs name and the handlers last name.

If there are any discrepancies, please let me know and I will get it corrected in the database.
