Well, we're having a great time down here in San Diego--home of the famous HOGAN and Friar Stuart home! :-)
Splashdogs is putting on a great event! Great turnout of dogs--I think the waves yesterday were looking at 30+ dogs!
Sarge jumped on Friday in a wave with Bart handling him. He jumped a 19.? and a 20.02. I was pretty proud of the Sarge-Pants! He didn't stop or hesistate! He hasn't been to an indoor event I think since back in March--in Green Bay at the Pet Expo--so I was happy with that! He took 5th place in the wave. Although, Gunner beat him with a 24.02 to take first place!
Yesterday I ran Sarge in a wave and also got a 20.02 out of him. I guess he's consistent! :-) But it was great to see him looking happy and focused at the end of that dock. Famous Jim Woods is here helping out and he said Sarge looks so content and happy that he didn't recognize him! Imagine that! :-)
There's lots of big competition in town with Kona, Salix, MickeyD, Gunner and little Gunner, a chessie named Henry, Hogan (23.00!), Grizzly, etc. The Chessies are really putting the heat on the other dogs!
There's also some newbies who are really excited about the sport and other competitors who are here doing a great job with their dogs and having fun like Melissa and Bubbles, Andy and Jasmine, Katy and parents, Kato and his folks, Lisa's got the "Runamucks" here, Tessa--the new pup of Linda and Randy, and many others! Hope of course is cheerleader in residence! :-)
OH--and Dan, while we're here in the hotel watching the IDC finals this morning--I don't want to forget to tell you that Gunner picked up a tip from Mu in St.Louis and he did his first practice jump with one of those flip-turn-splashdowns!
The finals today will be really exciting to watch!
