Hi everyone:
Here is the latest on Ka'ua. Let's keep those prayers going...they are working!
Hi Everyone,

We are heading into week #3 of recovery with Ka'ua. She had a little
setback late last week. It was so hard for her to be so confined that
Ka'ua
had gently gone on the couch but when coming off of it, she decided it
was a
dock and jumped off. It seems that she has sprained her left front
leg.

Otherwise, she has perked up tremendously, limping in a little trot
now, but
really wanting to run and play. Hopefully we can keep her calm for
just
another 3 weeks. Anyone have any ideas!!!!

Ka'ua is maintaining her weight over the last couple of days, between
50 and
51 lbs. This morning she weighed in at 51.3 lbs and tonight was back
at
50.6 lbs. It was a "picky eater" day.

All in all, Ka'ua is progressing well, and we continue to thank you for
your
blessings, prayers and love. Because Ka'ua is doing well, Randy and I
are
headed to Los Angeles this Thursday and returning to Hawaii on Monday,
March
19th. We will be spending our daughter's 30th birthday with her.
(However,
Niki proclaims that it is her annual 29th birthday!)

Ka'ua will be in good hands with Auntie Doc, Auntie Dodie and the rest
of
the family at Petswell Pet Hospital. Nakili (kitty sister) is being
well
taken care of (spoiled, spoiled, spoiled) back in Kaneohe with my
niece,
Lisa.

Ka'ua, Randy and I would like to express our heartfelt thanks to all of
you
that ran courses, dock jumped and had lots of fun on Ka'ua's behalf and
in
her honor. Words cannot express the love in our hearts. To the
"Flying'
Hawaiian Club for a Day" and all of our "hanai ohana" (adopted family),
you
express the "Hawaiian spirit" and there will always be a special place
in
our hearts for you. Mahalo.

Aloha pumehana.
Randy, Mary and Ka'ua
