One cheeseburger coming up! Does he like all the condiments or should I get it sans onions?

MickeyD'sMom
04-03-2007, 03:50 PM
All the condiments please! By the way I am working on trying to get a corporate rate at the Red Roof Inn. So far the rate is around $67.00 a night a lot less than LaQuinta which was around $119. I will let everyone know when I find out, probably tomorrow.

Gunner, Twizzy and I will be passing on this event. Actually, we have flyball committments that weekend, new member try out.

On another note, Gunner needs a little break, he had a collision w/another dog the other day playing ball, they collided head to head, both ended up in the EVet that afternoon. He lost a tooth and is still sore in his shoulders from the impact, so even if we didn't have flyball committments, we would have passed due to this accident. He is expected to recover fully, but I want to give him a couple of weeks before competing him again.

I won't be able to make it either :( . Having Sx this Thursday so won't be able to make that long of drive.
Urs, sure hope Gunner is feeling better soon. Emma lost a tooth this weekend but from a collision with the box not another dog  . She just chipped it and seems to be fine but it's amazing how hard even the little ones hit that darn thing
Hope to see you at a jump soon

Hi,

Sadie and I will be there. Friday/Sat and Sunday. Unfortunally we won't be making the Scottsdale jump thou. Sorry Brooke and Marilyn...we tried just can't cut it this time.

We will see everyone in a couple of weeks.. It will be fun....

Urs - sorry about Gunner hope he is feeling better. Sadie knocked out a tooth about a year ago also....seems to be doing ok with it....still have not figured out how she did it. Something crazy I'm sure.

See everyone soon,

Thanks guys on the notes about Gunn, he is doing fine w/out the tooth, I'm more concerned over the structural impact, which seems to be bugging him. He'll be fine just needs a little break.

As far as BADD attendees, i heard a few will be trying to make it out to OC. Am sure they will make us all who will not make it proud.

JJ- will definitely see you next month in Vallejo and Novato, at my healing pace I may actually get to run my dogs myself! Did you say you were having surgery? Hope all goes ok, best luck in recovery.

Urs, so sorry to hear about Gunner! Tessa sends a tummy rub!

Sandra, I have a tip about the La Quinta's. They have this special called Weekend Impulse. If you wait until Sunday to book it, they may have a special rate of $59 at the La Quinta John Wayne OC Airport and at the La Quinta Irvine Spectrum. The trick is, you have to book it the same week as the weekend you stay. For our recent stay at the La Quinta in Stockton, I had booked it two weeks in advance, but once the special popped up the week of the event, I cancelled the reservation I made, and re-booked it through the internet at $59/night. It was no problem and saved us $20.

Here's the link: http://www.lq.com/lq/coolsavings/lmd/state.jsp?name=CA

Start checking on Sunday. You run the risk of the hotel being booked, but I doubt they'd BOTH be full.

Yes, Melissa, I will have all the speeding tickets and posters. I'll be driving them down to Tony on Thursday while he's filling the pool. I can't be there on Friday [work sure does get in the way of my jumping schedule] . . . and Brian emailed me that he couldn't make it until Saturday either.

Soooooooooooooo, any volunteers for the speed gun on Friday??? PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE?

Linda:
I am flying in around 11:30 on Friday. Jim plans on leaving Auburn around 4A.M. to pick me up from the airport. So I will be there for the 1:00 wave. I think I can handle doing the speed gun. Don't know if I can make the 4, as I just have to wait and see what pain level I'm in. Hope that helps!

Chase
04-04-2007, 11:08 AM
Chase and I will be there.

We would not miss it! We are really looking forward to having fun jumping and hanging out with all of you!

By the way, do these speeding tickets go on my driver's record or Chase's? Maybe the auto club has a special deal for four legged speeders!

Linda Hettich
04-04-2007, 02:16 PM
I think it depends on who's driving, you or Chase!

And Sandra you are so sweet! I do not want this to result in more pain for you in any way, okay? If it hurts too much, then please don't worry about the speed gun! We'll just take care of business on Saturday and Sunday!

Anyone have an "in" with the AutoClub? I used to but haven't done any work over there for awhile. I wonder if they'd be interested in donating to a worthy cause?? I'll see if I can find out how corporate donations and sponsorship works with them.

Emmy and I should be there Saturday/Sunday. Don't think I'll be able to get there on Friday. I wish our agility club was doing the demo, but they've got another group lined up again this year....

Take it easy, Sandra, don't hurt yourself!

See y'all soon! :D

Cool, Kim! Hey did you get some Teva's yet??

. . . from your fellow Diet Mountain Dew girl . . . I still have the second one in the fridge . . . what is wrong with me???

FlyingSquirrel
04-05-2007, 02:38 PM
Hi Linda!

Nope, no Teva's yet. I really liked the sandals Lisa H. had in Long Beach. Might have to do some shopping this weekend...

I received a really nice note from my friend at the Auto Club. He has passed the info for "Chase Away K9 Cancer" to his dog friends as well as the person in charge of making decisions about donations for the Club. He felt it was a good cause. No promises, but this is progress! :)

Hey guys,

I don't like to sign up for waves in advance since plans can change. However, it just dawned on me that we may have to pay an entry fee if we didn't plan ahead. Anyone know how they're doing it this year? (Should I just read the event info??)

TIA!

Hey Louise -

We missed you! Hope your dad's doing better.

Emmy and I seem to be getting our groove back. (She's ALWAYS happy! ) Em hit a 24-footer on Saturday, so that was cool. The best was being able to get a little SV practice in on Saturday evening. Thanks go to Melissa & Brian and ESPECIALLY Lisa H. for your coaching!! NO way we'd have been able to do it without your help! Imagine, Emmy going from just barking at the end of the dock to tying for 2nd place with a 6'-8" jump! YEAH! Quite exciting to see the little Squirrel's wheels turn as she *got* the game. :D :D :D

Cool kudos to Melissa, Brian & Lisa for helping out with our favorite flying squirrel! (Brian was also most excellent at getting a certain someone's dog toy out of a certain Stockton tree with the assistance of Amanda & a certain someone's crutch.)

Hey, it just dawned on me that FS was tied with Feist - is that Feist as in Loups du soleil Feist? If so, triple cool! We work out with Michael every week & see the various Feist friends/relatives. It would be great to see some of those pups out on the dock next year.

We hope that the speeding tickets went well and that we see some of you guys up this way in the summer!

cheers,
Louise & Naika

P.S. Urs, 'heard that you were trying to walk around...'hope you're not planning on hang gliding soon. Take it easy!!

Louise,,,,,

Yes it is the one and only Feist! Not to bad for taking a year and 1/2 off. He also popped off a 22'02 PB jump in Big Air. Brian had to do a little coaching to fix Lisa's throw.

SV~ was controlled by the Belgians lol

Howie has some nice pictures of Feist. Sat 5 pm.

It was great having lisa around the pool again.

Yes Congrats to Kim/EMMY for putting it all together... Judy/Bear WOW new PB 6'2

Thanks Urs - Thanks Louise!

I have to mention thank you to TONY for allowing us to use the dock for the mini SV practice. It really was helpful. Randy and Mike put it together and Mike handled the boom. Much appreciation for their assistance, too!

And yes, congrats on Bear's PB SV! And congratulations, too, on Tessa's PB in Big Air! Great weekend, despite the cold wind! :D

Kim,

I guess endurance wasn't a factor for Emmy at all. Congratulations on taking second place in SV and Big Air. That dog can play all day.

P.S. Send me your e-mail address so I can send you the pictures and video. The pictures didn't come out as well as I thought. Emmy and Feist were too dark against the tree and the camera focused on the tree instead of the dogs. There is one picture of Emmy where she looks like a part of the tree and can barely see her.

Judy and Bear and Mike and Daisy . . . stellar weekend! Lisa, Ida looked great! Watching from the stands, she looked focused, and her last jump, she really looked like her old self. And, more than that, it's great to see you smile on the dock once again!

The Belgians . . . kicking serious butt!

It has been a loooong recovery, and yes I am so very happy that Ida is happy and pain free once more :)

HUGE THANKS to Tony and Splash Dogs for bringing us this terrific event!!! The venue was great! And the Pet Expo bigger than I ever recall !! Tony, Randy, Greg and JR.....THANKS GUYS!!!

HUGE THANKS to Wendy for working tirelessley behind the registration desk!!!! Your efforts do NOT go un noticed!!! You are awsome!!!! :D

HUGE THANK YOU SO MUCH to the numerous people who pitched in to help out this weekend with wrangling, helping out newcombers, running back and forth, working SV!!! You know who you are  ....and you are all appreciated very very much!!!!

Wendy,

Have you seen the pictures of me and Ren? Don't we make an awesome team together.

I'll be more than happy to jump him at Wags because I know you are going to be pretty busy that weekend.

renegade
04-18-2007, 09:21 AM
You guys did make a great team!

You are more than welcome to jump him at WAGS unless Urs wants to fight you for it... Ren does love Urs's socks so she might be able to bribe him over to her :)

Ren's going to be a busy guy at WAGS - his breeder is going to handle him for me at agility, you are going to handle him for me at dock jumping - I wonder if I can get him entered in any more sports!

Sardo

Well if she thinks she can steal Ren from me, I will take Gunner when she isn't looking!!!!!

There is also lure coursing he can do. I am sure he would enjoy that.
