Tony usually has the details worked out (i.e. wave times) and opens registration around 4-6 weeks before an event.
Keep watching the website!
If you have specific questions or concerns, feel free to post those and we'll try to get you an answer

One of my husband's friends is pretty familiar with the area. I can try and get in touch with him this weekend and hopefully find an area close to the event in a decent part of town. Feel free to send me an email.....I'll try and look for something.....

Looking in the Salem and Troutville areas. There is also a holiday inn that allows pets up to 50 pounds. A little more pricey than I am used to but I will call on monday and see if they can work something out. Salem is about 15 minutes west of the event, it get us out of downtown roanoke, reviews aren't great, but not even close to the horrible reviews right next to the Civic Center. I'll keep you all posted!
Thanks,
Carly

Looks like the Sleep Inn Tanglewood is my best suggestion based on price and location - I'm waiting for the outcome of discounted prices for 6 rooms - anymore want me to ask for more rooms?

Bart - That's Jake(the guy) & Pepper, not Matt&Jake(the dog). We will try and remember to call it SV that weekend, he remembered the first time he asked about it....you should be happy he isn't using all caps! Right Jake?!?
Any more details yet??? We are getting antsy over here! (Guess Cali is a little more laid back?!)
Looking forward to an event with the Florida crew....

We will officially be having super v in Roanoke (day/time tbd). I'm sure tony would love to have volunteers help.
We pay 10 Splash Bucks for every 2 hours volunteered. You can use your splashbucks towards wave fees or merchandise.

What all do you need help wise?

I talked to Tony today and he said that we can use help in the following areas:
1) Merchandise - we have a table where we sell t-shirts, hats, etc. Having someone to help people find sizes and take money.
2) Registration - we have a person to run registration, but it's nice to have an extra person when we have several people registering or checking in at once.
3) Wrangling - both during practice to help the newbies and also during waves to keep the running order straight and keep the wave moving along.
I could also use a volunteer to help coordinate the volunteers :) If you're willing to do this email me at: wendy@splashdogs.com. Otherwise I will try to coordinate as best I can beforehand and then hand it off to tony before he leaves to come to virginia. (I'll be at the reno srs event that weekend).

Splash Dogs
August 07
Greetings!
Thank you for pre-registering for the Splash Dogs Virgina Outdoor Sportmen's Classic Dock Jumping Challenge. We are looking forward to seeing you and your dogs at the event next weekend!
Following is the information that I have so far regarding event details. We will send out an update on Wednesday or Thursday when we get additional information.
If you pre-registered, your name is on a list that should be available at the gate to allow you entrance. When you arrive you will need to go to Parking Lot E. You will see the Splash Dogs pool there. You will be able to unload at the crating area which is about 300 feet from the pool. There will be a Splash Dogs tent at the pool which will be able to direct you to the appropriate crating area.
On Sunday we will be holding the Pro and Open finals. The top 24 dogs from the event will qualify for these finals. You will need to check in at the registration desk by 1pm on Sunday to let us know if you are available for the finals. We will not have the final bubble for the finals until after Wave 7 completes, but it will help us to get the finals set more quickly if we know in advance who will be available. If teams have not checked in for the finals by 1pm, we will take the next available team from the bubble.
