Four Lab Family

We're looking for a female AKC yellow lab that we can mate our male AKC yellow lab Noah with in exchange for pick of the litter. One of Noah's littermates went to a good friend of ours, and they recently had to put her down because of inoperable neurological disorders. The family really loved their dog and misses it very much, and I told them I'd try to find a female and give them pick of the litter so that they could still have part of the same bloodline. Noah is about 2.5 years old, very good looking, a great family pet or hunter, he's competed in Splashdogs for fun a few times but does not get too far beyond the edge of the dock, and he has hip and elbow certification in his genetics. If you would be able to assist and are in the northern California area, we'd really appreciate it.
Thanks, David, Mindy and Luke, and Tule, Willow, Noah and Ivy (4 labs)

Has his hips been checked?
Has his elbows been checked?
Has he been CERF?
What outstanding dogs are in his pedigree?
Has he been bred before? Is he proven?

FourLabFamily - I wanted to just flag this, do you know what kind of neurological disorder is in the line? This may not be a line that should be repeated. Many neurological disorders are genetic and can cause all kind of physical problems like gait problems, paralyses, respiration problems etc.
Not sure you want to breed a line that may be unstable - not fair to those pups who are affected by it.

Usula very good point! No one knows better than Jim & I the heartbreak we faced when we lost "Cash" to seizures. After Cash died we did our research and went back to the breeder (puppy mill) and found that he was very irresponsible and was probably in-breeding. I certainly would not want anyone else to face that kind of heartbreak if it can be avoided!
