I just wanted to send some good thoughts and prayers to Cera Reusser and Chase. Cera dog chase was diagnosed with cancer just a few weeks ago.
Chase was only 6 years old and was just hitting her jumping prime.
Cera just called me and ask Sisko & I to jump Big today. She has had to put Chase down.
Dogs are more real of people than we are. If we could only be half of that this place would be a little better.
Sisko & I will miss chase. God bless Cera. May tears be filled with great memories.

God Bless Chase and Cera.
Many of us have been there and we know how tough it is and wish all the BEST.. Jump Big at the Bridge!!
Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.
When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge.
There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together.
There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.
All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.
The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.
They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.
You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.
Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

Rob - Thanks for letting us know. My prayers and thoughts go out to Cera and her family. I know the day comes when we all must say goodbye to our best friends, but when that day comes I'm sure it is one of the hardest things we have to do. Bless her heart, I know that she was trying to live each day to the fullest with her sweet girl.
Take care all,
Urs

They say memories are golden
well maybe that is true.
I never wanted memories,
I only wanted you.
In life I loved you dearly,
In death I love you still.
In my heart you hold a place
no one could ever fill
This says it all.......So sorry Cera

I liked the poem too. I found it on the Rainbow Bridge site. Your bitch days sound like fun and will be a bit meloncollie to be sure from now on. Sure wish something could have been done to add some time for Chase. It all happened so quick, its mind boggling
Nevada will now jump in honor of all the pups we have lost. I don't want to name them cause I would be afaid of missing somebody.
See you at Wags.......

Our blessings and prayers out to Cera and her family.
I had the great opportunity to meet her briefly back in May 2004, in WA at a jump. She took a great picture of Sarge and Tom competing and later gave it to Randy Woods. Randy carried it around for over a year before he remembered to give it to me. I'm sure Cera called him once in a while to see if I had gotten it yet.
This simple example shows me what a foundationally great human Cera is. She is generous and kind, and does a good deed for nothing more than for the sake of making someone else happy. Cera will always be in our blessings and I'm sure Chase will make her way back to her again.
Many prayers......
Amanda and Sarge (and Hope!)

Hi Everyone,
Thank you so for all your well wishes and sharing the sorrow that our family is feeling. I sure wish Chase & I could have made a Splashdogs event had we had more time I know we would have. Chase left me with a very special girl her daughter Rikki and it will be very hard to return to the dock without my little jumping bean next to me but I will because I know she will always be my side just I'll be the only one now enjoying her antics.
Have a great event this coming weekend and enjoy every minute of everyday with your best pals because you never know when life will hit you and when it does it sure hurts.
Cera & the 3 BB's, There will always be 3 bb's in our heart forever!!

Hi Greg,
Chase's song on the docks was Save A Horse Ride a Cowboy by Big & Rich, it's a funny story but she was in the backseat of my new truck with a friend and we were stuck in traffic trying to get her to the vet while she was having contractions back there we had a 40 minute drive to the vet. She had to have a emergency C-section since Gunner was so HUGE 20oz at birth, well that song came on and my nerves were pretty much shot so to calm them we cranked it up and well Rikki and Coal came out natural at the vet and Charlie and Gunner were C-section. From then on put that song on at a jump and well you saw her at Diamond lake, it worked almost everytime
Thanks Greg & Becky can't wait to see you guys up on the docks this summer, Chase would kick my butt if we didn't get Smokey & Rikki out to play so we'll see you in Roseburg and Lane County.....
cera & the 3 BB's forever
