Attached is an email from our daughter, Amy. Trying to help locate this dog. We have such a huge database I thought perhaps this just might help. Thanks!
Hi Sandra,
I'm trying to help my friend who lost her dog, and I'm sending this to you in case you think your Splash Dogs network might help. She was traveling in her car on I-5 and Lathrop, near Stockton, when she was in an accident (traffic was moving slow, so she is fine). The air bags did deploy, and it scared her dog, Sawyer, and he jumped out of the car.
She has contacted every authority, and no one has found him, so we are hoping someone took him in. We are trying everything we can think of to locate him. His family misses him terribly. These are the friends who own The Car Lot, and Sawyer was often there, hanging around.
Anyway, I've attached pictures. Thanks!
Amy

Here is an update on Sawyer sent to me by the owner. All you folks out there in Manteca keep an eye out for him!!!
Hi Sandra and Amy,
I just wanted to let you know that I went to Manteca and passed out flyers in an area that someone said that may have seen Sawyer. The manager of Starbucks and another customer at Round Table Pizza saw him on Sunday hanging around that area. I flooded the area with flyers. The area that I am talking about it in the new shopping center at Airport and 120. So, I don't believe that anyone has him anymore, I think that he is still free. If I don't get a call from anyone by Friday evening, I plan on driving down there at 4 in the morning and seeing if I can call for him while the freeway is quiet and he may be able to hear me. The shopping center is new and has a lot of food stores in it, so I think that he is eating and there is a fountain there for him to drink out of and maybe get into (he is a lab). I think he as made this place his new home, so I don't think he will leave unless someone takes him.
Thanks for everything you guys have done already.

I am not in your area so I can not help unfortunately. I want to add a word of advice. GO to the area Humane Society. My experience with lost dogs is they will NOT tell you any information over the phone you must go.
I hope the dog is found! I know what it is like to lose one and not know where they are. It is horrible. Please keep us updated if the dog is found.
GOOD LUCK!!!!!!!

OMG, I was hoping to hear they had found him....My heart goes out to them...they are in our prayers......
Make daily visits to all shelters, with flyers, post flyers, call all vets, leave flyers at vets...leave flyers at schools, at pet stores, at regular stores.....go door to door.....
I acutally saw a car driving around with a huge lost dog flyer on the side windows and back window of their truck....I really thought that was a great idea.....
Just all suggestions......

GOOD NEWS! I found Sawyer! I had been door knocking and I finally got a call from a lady that lived in the area that I lost him in. He was right by the accident sight. Well, she tied him up to a tree and waited for me to show up. I think that was the longest trip I have ever taken... But when I got there, it was so worth it because my Sawyer was sitting there waiting for me. So, after Sawyer, the lady that found him and I stopped crying, I took him home. He is a little skinny and tired, but safe and happy now. He was out fending for himself for the past 8 days!
Thank you to everyone for their thoughts and good vibes. Sawyer and his family all appreciate it! We are so happy to reunited again. He is right here at my feet right now and now that he has had his bath, I cant stop giving him love.
Thank you again!
