I'm new to this forum, and hopefully will start dock diving with our little girl very soon! Our lab Guinness is 15 months old, I'm not sure of her exact birthday but she was born in July so I've decided we'll now share a birthday (that's the best month!). We just got her in September, and she is an absolute LOVE. She's ball obsessed, and apparantly LOVES the water, so I thought dock diving would be a perfect match for her. Unfortunately her last owner had to rehome her because he was in the Coast Guard and was going to be deployed and his wife was moving back to Florida during the deployment to be near family and didn't want to take Guinness with her so met Guinness and fell in love. This is my first experience as a big dog owner, and my only regret is that we didn't do this sooner. She's fitting in so nicely with our family, and while she hadn't been around children very much prior to coming to live with us she's definately gotten used to them rather quickly (we have 2, ages 8 and 3). I'm hoping to hear back from the person I emailed regarding dock diving in the SF Bay Area (where we live), so we can join in the fun!
