Today we have the privilege of opening up our doors to 6 flood victims. My brother from Lewis county and his neighbors family and 3 more puppies!!
Making the total 6 adults, 5 children and 7 dogs in my house that just doesn't seem as large anymore!! 1850sq ft. is getting smaller as we most likely will be adding 4 more in about 2 hrs.
Last I heard there has been 7 deaths. Erick's (my bro) neighbor watched his barn literally float out across his field and disappear into the distance. The state is hoping to have 20 miles of I-5 reopened by Friday!! Now it is over a 400 mile detour to get up to Seattle!! Yes Interstate 5 completely shut down!!!
Here a little south we were lucky that the rain slowed a little as our Lewis river is almost over the bridge. We (thank-GOD) are a little high in elevation and were missed, unlike some good friends that live a little closer and are now wishing they were not so close.
The first half of the day was rain free but here it comes again!!
This is the Lewis River less than 1/8th mile from my front door. Luckily down hill from here. The tree's in the pic are usually about 10 feet above the river.

And here is the corner right before Doug's house! My NW AirDogs Cherokee is under the carport on the left side.

Check out the progress with I-5 here.

It seems not long ago our Friends south of here were battling Fires!! Sure wishwe could have shared half of this water with you!! I believe both sides would have benefited!!
