Was wondering if anyone knew anything about Hollywood Paws Talent Agency. We have a meeting in the morning with them and really have no idea what to expect. Does anyone else's dogs act? Any advice or info would be appreciated. Thanks!!

Now wait a minute MickeyD is trying out for the Marley and Me movie! He is so perfect for the part. Okay not serious on that one but Brian Sardo has a movie star dog, Maximus. Brian are you there?

Maximus played a short part in a film but I don't know anything about the agency. I did look them up but never inquired about it but I guess you will be able to tell me if it's worth it or not. Let me know how it goes, good luck.

Ren and Zack did a photo shoot for a tile company at one point, but we got that cause their original dog didn't work out and they were randomly calling people with goldens in the area. They said they just needed a dog to stand there, but we ended up doing a lot more (Zack had to do a stay with his paws up on the counter, looking at a little boy while they took shots for one scene) - not sure if they did more with my dogs cause they were trained, or not.

Haven't worked with a talent agency, but let me know what you learn about this one. I know Zack would love to have a job like that and he's got tons of behaviors trained so I know I could get him to do just about anything they asked :)

Anyone know of animal talent agencies in the Dallas or Austin area? Have a client who is quite talented and very cute.

They are going to except you in no matter what, then you have to go through their training classes and train the way they want, then they post your dogs pic on their website among the thousands they have, if your dog gets picked they take your dog on the set and do all the training.

Not my cup of tea, but hey you might like it.

Ok well our thoughts are this... now remember this is our opinion only.
We went down to meet them, and they of course said Andy needed training. Duh... we knew this, the training with them is 2000 dollars for a 3-6 month course. We told them we wanted the weekend to think about things. Over the weekend I caught this reality show on one of the Lifetime Networks about Le Paws Talent Agency. I looked them up and on their website they said that after the assesment you could find your own training or use theirs. So I decided to email Hollywood Paws and ask if we could get our own training and come back in 6 months to have another assesment to see if they would take Andy on. This was Monday morning and here it is Tuesday night and no response. When before they were over the top eager. I gather from that, that they require you to go through training with them and they didn't like our idea. I would think a Talent Agency would accept a dog who was qualified whether they were trained by them or not, that is if they were legit. My advice would be to probably go elsewhere.
