Urs;
So proud of you and Gunner. Taking 1st place with your Gunner is quite an achievement! Congratulations to Bart/Gunner for second and my little creepy MickeyD in at third. I am sorry I do not remember the name of the fourth place dog. Senile, I guess. Maybe someone can help me out.

Hey Sandra!

Am home with a smile on my face! I am so proud of my boy! Talk about nerve racking, Bart & I both pulling 24 1" in the final and having to go to a Sudden Death round! Wow! Thanks for the good luck hugs!

Congrats to all! There were lots of first timers out there with some awesome jumps! Very cool! And a few new JR Handlers!!!

I was so proud of all of the dogs out there, but have to send out some personal brags for the Bay Area Dock Dogs! (Splash Dogs at heart)

Abby & Melanie pulled out a 10' 8" for their first official competition!
Penny & Joe pulled out a 10' 11" for their first official competition!
Buddy & Michelle had a new PB of 15' 8"
Murphy & Cheryl hit the 18's!

Tony and all - thank you so much for another great weekend!

It was awesome seeing old friends and meeting new ones!

Bart - thanks! I love competing with you! No matter what place I come in or you come in, you're there to give me hugs! Same with Sandra and Jim - you guys are so awesome!

Not going to SRS in Oregon - we're already entered in a flyball tournament for that weekend. but...may be thinking of Nationals - we'll see if he continues this.... :D and if I'm ready.... :?

Urs!

Super congrats! I heard the great news! How awesome for you and Gunner! Wish I could have seen that--those jump offs are pretty exciting!

I still remember when you came out to WAGS last summer--you've done great things and Gunner has improved tremendously! I love being able to watch that kind of progress and dedication that people put into their dogs to get the best possible performance out of the dog!

Again, Super Congrats!!!!!!

Wowsa Urs.... Sandra called me to tell me of the great news. Thanks Sandra for keeping me in the loop. I haven't been on the computer much since Wags (new job :D ) Here's A BIG CONGRATS from me and the NevadaPuP. BORDER COLLIES ROCK  I sure wish I could have been there to see it in person. What an exciting finals that must have been. I was so happy for you at Wags when Gunner was pulling out the big ones and to do it again just proves that it was not a fluke. Congrats to Bart's Gunner and MickeyD too and all the rest of the teams.

Urs,

That was the most fun that I can remember coming in second. Especially coming in second to you and the new improved Gunner :D
Congratulations :D

Bart
I felt the same way coming in 5th at Wags.... I was so excited to see Gunner, Gunner, Kona, and Emmy jump so well and to witness the happy faces and tears of joy was priceless. It justs solidifies why we all play this game. It doesn't matter if you win or lose, the most important thing to remember is as Greg would say HAVE FUN!!

Shari and Bart -

Your comments just go to show what awesome and down to earth competitors you are. You know the true meaning of the sport - to have FUN! Though we put pressure on ourselves to give it our all when we are out there, it boils down to who you really are.

Hey Shari,
I think before you call yourself supergirl, You should win more than a few events and also remember who helped you get there.

Hey Shari,
I think before you call yourself supergirl, You should win more than a few events and also remember who helped you get there.

Well, not too sure exactly what you mean but calling Nevada SuperGirl has absolutely nothing to do with how many events she has won. It describes her very unique jumping style. Anyone who has seen Nevada jump knows that she dives in head first and sails through the air like she was flying... just like Superman. The name Superman didn't fit cause she is a girl so hence the name SuperGirl. The flying torpedo originally came from the announcer at the SRS and then you said it too in one of your posts. If you are looking for royalties don't look here cause I am broke :?

As far as remembering who has helped me in this dock diving journey there are several people that have helped me yourself included, starting with Stephanie Doerr, a flyball friend and fellow dock diver who took me to my first dock where I was bitten by the dock diving bug and then spent a fare amount of time coaxing Nevada in to the pool at her first event (2005 Wags) but I must say that the majority of the credit needs to go to Melissa Ness (Stryker) as Missy has worked side by side with me for the last 5 months and guided me for many tireless hours of helping me train her. So I suppose I will take this opportunity to thank everybody who has given me tips along the way. THANK YOU ALL!

I am excited and blessed to have qualified and be able to go to DD Worlds and represent the border collies of the dock diving world and of course hope to shine while we are there competing against the best of the best. Nevada will be sporting her SuperGirl cape and jumping with angel's wings in memory of Cera's precious Chase. I saw your name on the list of qualifiers so you must be taking a break from the IDC show to come compete with the rest of us who qualified. See you next week..........
