San Mateo Roll Call!

Hi guys!!! We were wondering who all was going to make it to San Mateo? We will start off this fun little roll call by saying Team Andy will be there!!! We can't wait!!! Andy is so excited!!! His first birthday is the Saturday of the event. Hopefully the cake he gets the day before doesn't load his butt down!!! =)

Well, Jenny and I are planning to come, although still trying to figure out the hotel thing. Where is everybody else staying? Sandra said Belmont isn't a bad area so we may just go with the motel 6 there. Think the plan is for Jenny and I to leave really early Friday morning so we can be down there and set up in time for the first wave. Does anybody know how early we can get in? What is the entrance/distance to the pool area from parking lot? I promised Emma she wouldn't have to jump since it's sooo cold for her and lets not forget she did almost die last year of pneumonia. Don't feel too bad, she and Jinx will be staying with friends who let the dogs run wild both in and out of the house. Jenny will be bringing Pilot and I will be bringing the jumping trio of Rampage, Riot and Spud. I am bringing lots of towels and coats to hopefully keep the dogs warm because rumor was last year the weather was quite cold. Everybody make sure to come prepared

The Kinley Crew will be there - well part of us will be Gunner, Twizzy and Vandal will not be attending but we will have a new jumper out there w/us Aries! This will be his first time in the pool and off the dock we'll see how the big guy does! Oh and JJ it was freezing last year, not just cold...

Sandra - hope you guys can make it, would love to see you at an event where I'm not running around like a chicken w/my head cut off ;-)

I think I spoke too soon when I mentioned Aries will be debuting...went out today to the dock in RC and Aries needs more confidence to get into the water at the temps they are right now, but we'll see....

Did you guys add a new dog to your pack?
Hope the new guy will jump. I guess they have to be pretty crazy to want to jump when the water is cold. I'm always amazed that even in winter when we go out to Washoe lake for our walks the dogs all make a beeline for the frozen water for a swim.
Perhaps we will get lucky and have some sunny Cali weather for the two January events.

I have to say, today the weather is beautiful here, I love Sunny CALI! Near 60 and gorgeous blue skies, see this is what we should order for San Mateo!

JJ - we did add a new dog to the pack, but I'm not claming him! Actually, Ally's boyfriend (my older daughter) adopted a dog back in September, he's had a few little issues w/his parents dog so is now living w/me to work through them. He is coming along quite well and is now training actively in flyball and enjoys the water so hoping to see him take to the dock as well. Ryan - his owner is in love as is his Grandma (ME!) and how could he not be...this is ARIES......

Urs, he is a very handsome boy...but perhaps I'm biased...as he could be Riot's littermate. Good luck with him although I'm sure he'll be jumping huge in no time.
I see you have ordered us some very nice weather for this coming weekend.
We very much appreciate that as although we survived the blizzard there is nothing but snow everywhere. Dogs love it for awhile but they get cold pretty quick so 60 degrees will feel like summer.
Just a few more days...look forward to seeing everyone soon

Haven't seen everyone for awhile (too much work!). 'Thought that it was time to liven things up by having Naika come down to yodel and prance around the dock.

Her 8 mo old younger half brother Ronin is visiting us for a bit. He is ball and water crazed and would just love it. We haven't had any lessons with Urs yet so I'm not sure that he will make his debut.

Will there be any opportunity to do Vertical at all?

Michael....thanks for posting the wonderful pics! Though Chloe doesn't get the best distance going as verticle as she does....it is sure fun for pictures and to watch! Boy it sure shows how she locks in on the pheasant and doesn't let her eyes off of it!
