I don't have any photos to share. I have heard Jim and Sandra are still without power.Their neighbors 100 yr. old oak tree fell across their property, and took out the shed. I would like to send out good thoughts for all affected by the storm.

Hey everybody

I hpe you are all doing well after the storm. We lost a few main branches at our house & there's lots of debris and the power was out awhile last night but all in all, we are OK.
How are you guys up north? I pray everyone is doing well. I'm so sorry about Sandra's neighbor-how sad.

The Only Damage we got was flooding of the Horse stalls with the rain yesterday. But they are ok now.
Thats to bad About the Neighbor and the tree. Sucks when bad things Happen.

This morning we woke to the Emergancy Alert that Fernley, Nv (Not to far from us) had a levee Bust! Over 3500 hundred People were Affected. 300 houses were Flooded. They Brought in Helicopters to rescue people of roof tops

We had 3 to 4 feet....Chloe loves the snow....her favorite thing!!!

We are in the process of moving there. We are just up doing some business research. Normally it doesn't get this much snow.....but when we do....it is so beautiful there!!!

20 acres...and a perfect place for Labbies to frolic!! Of course we have to watch the coyotes.....had three in the yard yesterday.....not to worried about Chloe with them....but definatley would eat the poodle!! LOL

We are expecting another foot or so of snow tonight and tomorrow....

Time to get out the snow plow again!!

We wish everyone well that are having struggles with the storm and the damage. It is not fun!!

You say Coyotes? We have had soooo Many on our Property latley (its a given in rual living). Our Rottie and Charity Chase them away all the time. The day before Christmas Panzer Chased 6 of them out. We never let our Chihuahuas out unless panzer or we go out with them.

Well we are Closer to you than an Hour! We are by 395 and redrock on the california side but in Nv... Kinda Tricky but we are like 40 min outside of reno... Rual like you.. lol..

I just called Sandra on her cell, and they are still without electricity. The home is freezing inside, and the laundry is piling up. The oak tree that fell took out their fence, dog run, and shed.
They were going to stay in a shelter or with some friends, but everyone has turned them away with Mickey D in tow. Poor Mickey D...

Hi everyone:
We just talked to PG&E and will not have power until Thursday. Good News our neighbor has electricity and we ran an extension cord and have some limited power, only downstairs but who cares that is where the computer is and my WII game!!! What more can you ask for? Will send pictures later...not of me I look like a homeless person! Thanks to Bart who kept us informed! Thanks to Dave for the call and offer of help..no wonder you were nominated for the Gabe Award! Way to go big guy!

Oh wow... I really hope that it goes faster than Thursday. But, at least you have each other and everyone is safe and healthy. I will be sending warm, toasty thoughts you way! :)

And Team Chloe, Team Blabador says they are very jealous and demand their own 20 acre property to play on too.... oh boy... :p

I almost wanted to get up and dance to the video. That was great!! If that was MickeyD frolicking out there in the snow he would be in Utah by now!

When we got Chloe....I think the love of snow was her destiny!! We drove from Discovery Bay...up to Powell Butte, Oregon.....3 Sisters Labs....well let me tell ya...it took about 14 hours in the most terrible snowstorm ever!! We got to go over to the kennel about 10 pm when a couple of other folks were picking up there pups....we had 4th pick. Driving back to the motel, the snow was so bad we weren't sure if we were going to make it back....but we did!

The next day the storm was equally as bad....took another 14 hours to get back home.....but the drive home was much sweeter with that little pup!!! Hardly noticed the drive at all!!!

So in honor of that adventure....her AKC name was born!!

Three Sisters Kates Snowstorm Explosion......

and boy has she lived up to her name....

Three Sisters Kate was the mom.....Yellowstones TNT Explosion (NITRO) as the pop....

If we decide to breed.....Snowstorm Kennels will be our name!!

Day 4 or is it 5, heck I don't even know anymore. Very fun experience this morning...off to the laundromat! Hmmmmmmmmmmmm some very interesting individuals in there! Are my clothes really clean???? So just when you think things can't get worse looks like Jim and I have the flu. We are both fighting off the nausea today; not ready to surrender to that bed. Is is Thursday yet? How would you like to be locked inside with MickeyD????

Jim and Sandra....did you get your flu shots?

Katy has the flu really bad...as do most of her friends....Erin and I have a touch of a cold...but not bad....just head congestion....

I can remember those laundrymat days.....I think the happiest day of my life was when we bought our own washer and dryer.

I think it would be wonderful to be locked up with MickeyD.....now if I had a couple other dogs ....maybe not!!

Sunny day here in the snow..but cold. Lots of ice daggers hangin off the roof!

Supposed to get nailed with snow tomorrow....

Jim and Sandra....wrap up in blankets...bring MickeyD in close to you so you can use his body heat!! Ya know there is always hotels....Bet you wish ya got that motorhome....could be living in luxury with that generator!!

Well it is now Day 6 without power! Last night PG&E called and Jim answered the phone here is what he said: "Oh it's not too bad I have run a cord to my neighbors and another neighbor ran a cord to his neighbor and the neighbor across the street is in Costa Rica" I told Jim when the neighbors find out what he said he won't have to worry about the downed oak tree they will find one standing and string him up! So after his converstion they now bumped us to Friday! Do you think they moved us to the end of the line???

NEWS FLASH!!! WE HAVE POWER!!! Actually I think Jims call had a reverse effect. PG&E thought they better get out here before we burn down the entire neighborhood. I am happy to announce that Jim will not be hung after all! Thanks everyone for your well wishes and concerns. See all my wonderful friends on Saturday.
