So I have given up on the malinois quest for now. I still love the breed, but I do not think they fit my current lifestyle.

I am by no means getting a puppy anytime soon but I am beginning my research into breeders. As much as I love Crash and his wonderful breeder I want some diversity.

What lab breeders do you reccomend or did you use?

Keep in mind I am in CA and do not want to travel to far. So AZ, CA, NV, etc...

Thanks!

Well everyone knows MickeyD is a high maintenance dog with high drive!!! That's putting in mildly. We got him from a breeder in Red Bluff here is the link MickeyD is from the Candlewood line. Really nice breeder does only a liter or two a year so it's not a puppy mill and they are very socialized.

Will do. Thank you ma'am!

You know its so funny I always considered myself a malinois person and tried to play down labs and not admit how much i like the breed, but I have finally given in. I LOVE LABS!! :)

Love the picture!

Crash is not a big fan of the snow. Guess that is what I get for raising a Sun Diego pup. :)

Diamond P labs in Rio Vista (near Sacramento).

You might just get your Malinois, after all!!!

We see alot of these dogs in agility, and they do perform amazingly...like rival the border collies for speed and drive.

Since I know nothing about labs...dunno how this breeder fits in with the standard, etc. Do know they produce a lot of dogs, mostly hunting/performance.

Anyway, good luck!

Sarah,

Research this guy. Scott Sherwin out of AZ. You will see his name everywhere on quality FC, NFC, NAFC titled field line labs going back many years
to present.

Awww Melissa are you sure you don't want a GSP after hanging out with the Boogerman at Cynosports? ; )

We're waiting for a breeding from Oskar's line to a black roan GSP in a couple of years, in the meantime working at the UKC with all these coonhound people is really making me want a bluetick!

Sarah, it might be worth your while to look over the UKC breeder's list for those areas too. I know alot of the lab people with UKC are in it for the HRC, so if you do a little research I bet you'll find some nice field lines, if that's what you're looking for.
