Lets here some Temps around the different area's
Friday, here in the NW we hit 108.
Then the clouds came in in the evening which created a humidity factor that could compare to Wisconsin. It started to rain at 102 degrees.
Saturday stayed cloudy all day till my boys All Star Football game . Sun came out(luckily it was already 7:30pm when the game started).
96 degrees at kick-off!!
They cut the quarters down to 12 minutes and called for water breaks throughout the game.
Though we(the west) lost, it was a good game. Matt had 1 sack and some nice tackles.
Today it is now 103 degrees at 5:15pm and full sun!!! I know the heat in Northern California is a murder, but up here a humid 85 day feels like almost a 100 in the dry heat. I believe a cool down is in order!!!!
Hope everyone is staying XTRA COOL we decided to kick it with the AC for awhile!!!!!!!!!!1

Hey Bryan:
It was misereable at the event this weekend over 109. Very low humidity though. Way to hot for dogs to jump. Tony trimmed the venue. I WANT RAIN!!! Hope we see you soon. Don't know about the Oregon events as Ji is having surgery on Wedensday. Take care and talk to you soon.

Sandra,
You, Jim and Micky D (ALL SPLASH DOGGERS!)must make your vacation time the weekend of September 16th & 17th. and come up this way PLEASE!!. You will have the time of your life!!! It's really not that far I think we have made that trek over 35 times.
I have 10 rooms reserved for out of town friends in a hotel where you can throw a rock and hit the lake!!
I think were gonna head down to the pond and do a little EV practice for this weekend's event.

Sir Bart of flyinglittle gunner,
That saying"same weekend" is one I am tired of hearing. :(
Seems as if that weekend is the one that everyone has picked to have a event.
This will be the anniversary event. as the Harvest festival last year was the first one I tried putting together .
I will go with a country theme for this, as Kenny Rogers is to make a small appearance (so they say) I know it wasn't him that I talked to.
He along with Carrie Underwood and the Oak ridge boys are in concert that same weekend only 4 miles away. So I have been hounding them trying to make them feel a little guilty for not showing up to such an important charity event. We'll see.............

well.. here on the coast - we were miserable.

I couldn't stand to be in our house this weekend, yesterday hit 95 at our house and I was completely disgusted....I know that is not as bad as some of you had it, but...heck I live on the coast for a reason, it's coooler....

They say this is the last day of severe heat, actually should be a little cooler than yesterday, THANK GOD!

Stay cool everyone and keep those pups cool too.

It has changed a bunch since a few days ago!! It is now only 81 at 9:30am and a high of 90.
Way better!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Urs,
Anytime the meter hits 90 + it's not good far as this little sweat box is concerned.
I look at my pups and think.........
How would it be to walk around in that Jet Black or Long luxurious golden yellow Fur coat in this weather???
Then we quit work and either run to the river or I wind up sitting hear with the AC on with two Black Dogs and a Yellow beauty laying on the floor sucking up on the cool air!! 8) 8) One has gotta be cool!!!!!!!!!

I WANT RAIN!!!
Careful what you wish for Sandra. We got rain the other day while it was 104. It turned into the most muggiest day ever.
I would be looking as if I just crawled out of a Splash Dog event in Redding CA. in a matter of minutes... YUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!! The water smells better in the pool  :D
