Everyone keep Andy in your thoughts and prayers... He is having his first hip done tomorrow. I am as nervous as can be. I can't wait for the next 3 - 6 months to be over. I want Andy to be able to play again. I miss seeing him run around and roll in the mud and I know he is missing it just as much. I hate thinking of Andy being in pain or having to be all drugged up for the next month and half. I know it is for the best thing for him though. Will update tomorrow when I hear how all goes.

On a side note we will be having another yardsale this weekend, hopefully we will raise enough to have his right hip completed in 3 weeks. Keep your fingers and paws crossed!

Thanks for all the good wishes and support!

Good luck! I'm sure everything will go well. He'll probably be a bit out of it for few days afterward. Gandalf's TPO sure was worth it; she's be 6 years old in May. I'm sure Andy's will be also.:)

The crew and I will keep Andy in our thoughts and prayers tomorrow. Sounds like you have a good surgeon which is the most important thing. Great to see people opting to care for their pets rather than get rid of them and on to a new one. Keep your chin up and Andy as calm and quiet as possible (as this is key to a successful recovery). I'm sure the whole splashdog family is hoping for the best possible outcome.
Take care

Thanks for the well wishes they did good!!! Andy is out of surgery and as of now it appears as all went well!!! They said he stayed very strong and stable throughout and that they had no problems inserting the plate and screws!! Can't wait to see my little boy!!!
Don't forget we still need your thoughts and prayers as we still need to raise the $4000 for his right hip.
Thanks for the support!!!

Jillie Voss sends a big black lab love to her WAGS buddy, Prince Andy. We think he looks "dashing" ! We are so sorry that he has to go through 2x-ugh.
We have been kind of out of the whole jumping program for awhile because Jillie had"elbow arthroscopy" in October..we heard ya' on the $$$.It was $$ Dr. Craig at Veterinary Surgical Specialists in Tustin...Didn't see if that is where you were? Yep, $3,000+ Excellent Doctor and facility-awesome!
Good news is Jillie is starting to jump again. We'll be trying it out this week at The Sportsman's Expo in Long Beach..takin' it easy. If all goes well then we will be at Pet Expo in Costa Mesa. We have babies that are about the same age as if you remember,we visited at WAGS. Jillie is a February birthdate !
We wish you good rest and lots of patience with the recovery process.

PS-probably a peppermint ice cream cone from Dewar's would make everyone feel better-it works with me!
