Hi all -

I am new to Splash Dogs, as I was looking for a place to possibly enter my girl Zoie, into a jumping competition. She is a huge water dog, and we can't keep her out of our pool. She loves to jump for her toy, and seems to jump quite far. However, we have no way of really knowing how she does, because we don't have a dock to jump her at. So my question is, does anyone know of docks around the Sacramento area to take a dog for practice? Any help, suggestions, etc., would be greatly appreciated!

Hi Angie, and welcome :)
(I am sort of new too).

I don't know if there are docks in Sacramento Area, but there is Cash Memorial Jump coming up in Auburn (I believe it is not too far from Sac.), and you can come in before competition and practice for $20. You can even just enter the competition! It is a very beginner friendly sport :)

Wonderful!! Thanks so much for your reply. I checked out the website, and I think I'll go ahead and enter her. At least it will be good practice, and I'll take her ahead of time to practice as well.

Actually the practice is only $10.00. If you can make on Friday we are not as busy and there will be plenty of us to help you. Give us a call if you have any other questions. 530.887.9993

Newbies, this event is a tremendous opportunity for new jumpers. You are very fortunate to have two of the most prominent members of the Splash Dogs community near you in Auburn. This event is hosted by Sandra Stewart and Jim Powell, two of the most informed, dedicated, and friendly people I know. The event site is outdoors, and absolutely beautiful. You will meet dogs and people that will become life long friends. Definitely head to this event; it will be well worth it.
