New we did not want so soon
Last week Sarah was at the vet with Gumpy and he confirmed something we had suspected for just over a week. The lymphnodes are back. His blood work is also showing signs of bad coming news for a few weeks. After talking with the vet today we have made the hard choice of stop all chemo treatments. We have done all that we can do for him without giving up his quality of life. Right now he is being treated with prednisone and diet and he is doing fine. He is not acting sick in any way. We have just run out of treatment options for him.
Gumpy has faught longer than we ever thought he could. He has had more time than most of the vets thought he would ever get.
Sarah is handling things really well. She is the one who made the final choice of not treating him anymore. She wants to let him have his final time doing what he loves to do as long as he can. She said she can't ask anymore from him. We do not know how much time he has left but we know one thing.. He will be going strong until the day comes to say good bye.
