Up until 2 weeks ago, on our last day of play & jumping at the lake. I noticed Tonka holding her back left leg up when she was walking, and when she was standing, only the tip of her toes was touching.
Off to Dr. Paws we go, and he diagnosed her with a partiaclly toren ACL, putting her on 'Couch/Crate Rest'. She just now got the okay to go for short walks, with no stress on her, or jumping.

I too will only be there in spirit as Nevada is on rehab for a torn CCL too. I have a really great forum for you to go to for support it's http://pets.groups.yahoo.com/group/C...iveManagement/ They are a wealth of support and information in doing CM rehab properly. I do hope that you have Tonka on supplements as it is very important in the healing process. OMGosh Deb... 2 weeks is way to soon to be introducing activity. Nevada is in week 9 of rehab and is still on house arrest meaning no activity. She is allowed to swim only which is good but absolutely no jumping or twisting and no walks yet. Please, Please do not increase Tonka's activity too quickly or you are going to be looking at a full tear and possibly meniscus damage which would require surgery. I have become very experienced with this injury and would be glad to share with you what I have learned in the past 9 weeks. Email me at LadyDancer@sbcglobal.net
