Hola from the front lines!
The dogs were flying today in Scottsdale! Lise Strum and Vhoebe had the furthest jump of the weekend thus far with 23.04, Ray Crane and Cricket (Concord, CA) are sitting on the bubble at #2 with a 22.11, followed by Lance and Kay Juhl and 22.09. More jumpers are arriving tomorrow and we're anxious to see everyone in one location.
The coolest thing about the Championship weekend is having competitors from all over the US here to having fun with their dogs. I've had the pleasure of watching dogs from all over the US this weekend, dogs from NC, VA, FL, ID, GA, UT, NV, OR, MI, IL, UT and CA. Putting faces to screennames and sharing laughs til all hours of the night.
We are adding an additional wave tomorrow. The second wave will be at noon. This will be held on the competition height practice dock which is the 36' foot Splash Dogs trailer. This will allow us to use the competition dock for the Junior Handler, Lap Dog and Super Vertical Championships. This will be an official wave with the Splash Dogs measuring system but limited to 36 dogs.
We are missing all of those who were not able to make it out. To us - you are all herei n spirit!
Will try to update you as things happen.Tomorrow will be busy with the kick off of the Championship rounds and the Awards Dinner! Margarittas for all!
