Yep It is Prado Dog Park. I did not want it to get out too soon exactly where the pond was because I needed time to get hunting dog clubs to be OK with us taking over part of "their" only training and testing area in the area. The grounds are used to train Retrievers, Spainels, and Pointers and they also hold Lure coursing events there at times. This is not a city park type of area. This is 1/2 way between a park and wilderness. There are wild animals that sometimes wander into the area (usually at night) such as deer,racoons,etc.. It is also a workig farm for praire grass used as feed for the dairy'sin the area. They work to make the area dog safe, they mow feilds and plant some areas to get rid of foxtails and nettles. They constantly try and control the ground squirell populations (without posions). Everything they do has to be enviromentally safe because it is state owned land.
I am going to make up a guideline and rules paper for the use of the park and the use of the dock for the dock diving dog owners who will not know the etiquette of the park. We really want to avoid any problems in the begining.

We met at Eukanuba at the end of the weekend upstairs in the Lab booth. I know who you are now. The Prado Park is a bit farther away from me than where I thought the pond was but still doable for a day of fun. Thank you for getting this done. I look forward to coming out and playing with my girls.
